35 minutes is an awful long time to panic and have the presence of mind to call 911 but not try the maneuver that the highway patrol eventually suggested (lift the accelerator and press on the brake)

Over here, at that speed she would have been the slowest car on the Autobahn...

It was obvious that she should try lift the accelerator and step on the brake! Or simply turn off the engine (without taking the key out, of course, otherwise the steering wheel would lock up).

Any vehicle without a key or an off switch should be illegal who the fuck thought up that shit?

These slide into a place in the car that allows the vehicle to read the information directly from the fob. Some of these key fobs don't even have to be inserted, they just have to be in the proximity of the vehicle (such as in your pocket or purse). I get that.. but .. never needing the key? What about all the "safety" features of key requirements? Maybe that's what they f****ed up? Or maybe she just didn't know how to drive...I just don't get it.
