The course claimed to teach children how to read a book in 20 seconds, or identify a playing card by touch. Around thirty pupils aged from seven to seventeen took part in the course that cost over $15,000 each.
However, ten days later, the children’s abilities remained as ordinary as before.
"I found that my child learned nothing except how to cheat," one parent told The Guardian newspaper.
Another parent told the paper that the teachers allegedly convinced his daughter she could read cards by touch. Although eventually she failed to do so, like all the others, other parents were reportedly reluctant to accept the truth.
It’s believed that the case emphasizes the lengths to which parents are ready to go to help their children survive in the highly competitive modern education system.
Last year a research by the Pew Global Attitudes Project found that in China 68% of people thought parents put too much pressure on students. [ link to rt.com] Before I get to the lunacy of this class I would like to point out that I think it is quite disconcerning that a Pew Global Attitudes Project exists. Although, I have not looked into it extensively. Secondly, WHY ARE PEOPLE SO FUCKING STUPID!?!? Really Chang?! You think a legit company that has the ability to foster super powers in human beings, regardless of age, IQ level, not to mention the many other genetic factors, would dish that out for 15K? Not to mention the lack of background checks and psychological testing?! Oh yea. Let's teach 10 year old yoshi how to brain beam people and hope that he isn't going to be a complete mental case once he hits puberty. 40 centuries of civilization and they are still all getting screwed looking for the elixir of life. Give me a break. DigitalGirl It's no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
