Using 3D Modeling Software to Recreate Batman Colorado Shooting Scene
Has anyone heard of this software called Aras 360 that does 3D modeling to recreate crime scenes like the one in Aurora, Colorado? I wrote an article about this video I found in where Anderson Cooper and two guests discuss the pros and cons of using 3D modeling software. In the video, a CBS correspondent thinks the 3D modeling could be helpful in the Colorado case to show whether or not the shooter was clear headed and methodical (i.e. sane) or just random (and possibly insane). A criminal justice professor in the video wigs out at the notion that 3D modeling could do anything for this case since it is an "open and shut case" and there is "no question" who did it or how. He is also clear that no "tactics" were used, it was a simple matter of a crazy person shooting up the theater. What do you think?
