and those who work are almost on part-time basis... it's even slow in healthcare ... does that tell you something... sick people can't even afford medical bill even with medicare coverage ... in oregon most are covered by managed care ATRIO which dictates how long a person can stay in hospital or skilled nursing facility.

yeah, I saw this on the sidebar articles here on Godlike. It is extremely disturbing. I think it amounts to about 25% of the total US population. Very sad indeed.

This has gradually been going on for many years. They act like it's something new, but it's not. I have seen and experienced greedy employers laying off people, taking away workers benefits, and even having the nerve to mention that no employee will ever get a raise on the job. But, at the same time, the owners of these businesses seem to be going on 3+ Fancy vacations per year, they live in $500,000+ mansions, own $80,0000 cars, etc. and on and on.When you work for these fuckers, they try to pay the least salary possible for the employee, and yes on all of their employees backs, always making excuses for no raises, benefits etc. Get what I mean? The problem is the addiction of greed of money and material items of business owners. When you work your ass off 60+ hours a week for these people, and still can barely pay your bills, no one can see the REAL problem here?

Thus, this latest figure of 89 million Americans being unemployed takes on new meaning.

89 million of 240 million is MORE THAN ONE THIRD of all Americans age 15 and over.

37.1% of Americans age 15 and over are unemployed.

Now, take into consideration that 27 million Americans are age 65 or over.

This means that those who should be working (those who are not too young or should be retired) total 213 million people.

Thus, the 89 million unemployed people comprise nearly 42% (41.8%) of the 213 million people that should be working.

THAT'S why the situation FEELS so DIRE.

IT IS DIRE.

Don't let anyone (especially any politician) tell you otherwise.

Employment in this country is not conducive to a strong dollar policy that keeps the Petrodollar/Reserve Currency status around the world. If we had Production in this country it would create even more inflation than the dollar could stand right now as they print it into toilet paper.
Why do you think we import "everything" ? To export inflation.

There is a difference between surviving and feeding the system. There are many other variables. trust funds, families sharing, sustainable living ...

The system takes polls based on the system which is tax collection. Now imagine where those taxes really go -

How can you have a deficit, and so many other expenses where almost every state and city is going bust?

Remember the federal Govt. is a corporation as is every city in every state. The system is going bust because it has become corporations feeding on greed - they are not producing anything tangible relating to surviving on planet earth.

Eventually as people wake up to the truth - they get on with living and surviving which equals feeding themselves instead of feeding a dying system.

The smartest thing anyone can do in this time is to figure out how to sustain themselves without the system -

Thus - unemployment is just a political decoy to sucker the ones left still dependent upon a dying system to fight until the ship goes down.

Simply ask yourself - why isn't their fruit trees in parks?
Because if you could get it for free you wouldn't need them,
would you?
