Alternative health
Hello, all.

Which works better for clearing up bacterial infections: collodial silver or oil of oregano?

Or, perhaps, something I've not listed? Thank you.

Blessings,

"Or, perhaps, something I've not listed? Thank you."

... for me;
snake root... or echinacea agustapholia... we also just so happen to grow the bestest ever snake root in the whole wide world, here in northwest Kansas.
(and so it'a also free, lol)

kombucha tea.... or the 'shroom' as some calls it.... and I use the tea and the extra mushrooms I am always getting in loads of different ways too. The tea, diluted, is an excellent fertilizer for me house plants, and them extra shooms I blend up and use as a topical healer, and too, it's the best dang after shave lotion type stuff I have ever but ever found. Only thing is, lol, is that it does tend to make me beard grow a bit faster is all (I'm blond and very light bearded though, lol)

and then there's me Oxyfresh... one of the bested of all products I've ever come across out there. Unfortunately, I'm not all that keen on how they run their business... and as in it's too too much like Amway... but, the prodcts more than make up for any of that kinda stuff anyways.

Re: Alternative health
gooder..what is oxyfresh?

I just want to share a result with oil or orgeano.

My son has had issues with allergies and slight asthma. In one month of using the OOO all symptoms are gone.

I am very impressed to say the least.

This OOO is high vibration.

Thank you all for your responses.

I've had bronchitis and it's pretty well cleared up - I let my fever do its work - but I've got this last little bit that just won't go away. I sometimes go on coughing jags that are hard to shake! My first choice is always alternative, as my body doesn't easily tolerate antibiotics.

Slim, I use Tea Tree oil for outside things - not in. How would I use tea tree for this?

Freyja, thank you for the info on OOO. I did purchase some, but haven't used it yet.

Re: Alternative health
Hi back to ya... and golly, I was kinda a'feared you might be asking that one, lol... and just cuz I don't think I can talk about Oxyfresh, and keep it at all very brief... and yeowie!
(and like it's one of them thingies that sounds toooooo gooder to be true... and yet it really is... and I couldn't even begin to tell ya the amount of times that it's totally bailed me out either... it's just amazin!)

I'll give it a shot though (help!, lol)... Okay...you know how gooder hydrogen peroxide is... well... like on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the bestest... HP compared to Oxyfresh... would be like a 2 or maybe a 3 for HP, and more than a 10'r for Oxyfresh... and for sure too.

For example.... and here I will use the Oxyfresh product that I use the most of, and that is the most versatile as well.... and I thinks so anyways.... no and no.... it is and for sure, lol!

And it's the Oxygresh Deodorier. First off, lol, ya dilute it (it comes in a 16oz bottle and sells for around 9 bucks or so...)... 1/2 of a capfull to a 16oz spray bottle (not a clear one though, and cuz it can't be exposed to any light). With this 16oz diluted spray now, I am all set (I also keep one in every room in me house too, lol)... and here's what all it's very very, and very, gooder for.

Spray your cutting board when slicing onions... no tears (I used to always put a 'stick' match in me mouth, lol... something that also works, and from me Grand-ma). Spray chicken before ya cook it and there's none of that salminela(sp?) stuff... I also spray just a little in me homemade eggnog and cuz I'm using raw eggs, lol.
Spray your counter tops and there'll be none of them nasty germies.

Oxyfresh works on a very very simple idea/principle, and in that it thoroughly cleans any and all surfaces... and thus... them 'bad guys' just can't live on a clean surface, and so the only place they have for to go, and for to feed, is themselves... and poof, they're gone... thus too, without them 'bad guys' hangin' around to fight, lol... it also promotes any/all healings.... and it works really really well too! And too, it actually started out as a saline type solution for cleaning contact lenses, lol.

If you get any sort of a cut/scrape/owie, (great for kids, and needless to say, lol) just spray the owie and it's stop hurting within a minute (and start healing very quickly too).... works the same on sunburns, poison ivy, skin rashes, athlete's foot (smelly shoes too, lol), and the likes. If your eyes get red and itchy, and from say like hayfever.... just spary some on your fingers and wipe across your eyes and they'll stop itching in less than a minute, and will clear back up in no time a'tall.... no more red, lol.
(or, just for regular eyes as well, and sorta like for a quick pick-me-up...it's really really and really re-freshing feeling... and it lasts too)

Spray a mosquito bite and it'll not only stop any itchings, but you can almost sit there and watch it just go away, and to just a little dot, lol. For you girls out there... if you get a any sort of a yeast type infection... just spray a Tampax, insert, and all itching and discomfort will be gone in less than a minute, and then too... do it for like 3 days or so, and the infection will all be gone as well.

I sold some to one of our local vets one time, and I almost died when he told me that it didn't really work... and then especially when he told me how he had used it... and ugh! He had poured like half a bottle into a mop bucket and mopped his floors, and then told me that it didn't get rid of any of the odors in any of the rooms that he kept his sick animals.

I laughed... well... and after I grabbed the bottle back and told him, lol, "This stuff is like gold to me and you just wasted the hell out of it!"... and I said, "Well, I'd sure be willing to bet though, that you have some of the cleanest floors in town... but... you also didn't use it like I told ya to either. More is not better, it's just wasteful, lol. Now.... where's your sickest and smelliest animal in here?
(and as I pulled out me ever trusty spray bottle)
And he took me over to a rather sick old Billy Goat... and need I say anything about the smell a'comin' off'a that ol' boy... and yeowie, and yuck too!

I bent down and started spraing his furry coat, and as I was talking to the vet (Dr. Parker) about how all to use this stuff (and please!)... I finished spraying and wiping down the Billy Goat's coat, and I lifted me hand up towards the vet and said, "Here, now tell me what ya smell?"
He was a bit reluctant, and as I am sure you can imagine, lol... but he did... and his face lit up, and big time it did too.
"There's no smell at all", he said, and then I asked him to smell Msr Billy Goat too... and he did that one as well... he was then totally blown away.
(I laughed and said... "I know, it always blows me away too.")

So, like for skunks... guess what... it works. No more tomato juice, vinegar, and/or lemons for me doggie, and when he gets sprayed (I mean why waste any of them babies, lol... and for but a half a cap-full... no way Jose!)... and too, none of them skunk smells in the house either.

And on we go... put a cap-full in with your laundry and it'll be fresher than fresh. Stopped up nose from them sinuses... just spray alittle up each nostril and you'll be pretty much completely clear, and in less than a minute too. Have any aphids and/or spider mites on any of your houseplants... spray and they'll just go away.
Spray or put alittle in your kitty and/or doggies water and they'll have the freshest breath in town, lol... and it's gooder for them too (I've even sprayed them owies that horses can get from them pesky flies, and not only do they love it cuz it a refreshing relief, but they'll heal really really faster too).... and also... as in, anyone with morning sickness, just down a capfull mixed and a little water (or not) and it'll be gone in not time. Spray some on your fingers and wipe a baby's gums when teething and any discomfort will be lessened... and a whole lot too.
Spray some in your mouth at night and ya won't wake up with dragon breath... spray some in your mouth after a hit, and ya can't smell any of the herb a'tall (also works well inside the car and of course your house as well, lol).

And... as I tell folks... try it every which way you can possibly think of and then let me know too, and cuz I am always looking for more ways to use it.... but please, and oh please... do not waste it... just remember... more is not better.
(and I am sorry for going on and on too, lol)

Gooderboy,

Amazing! Thank you for telling the long story - sometimes short stories just don't do it.

I'll check it out - I'm glad you came back, because when I googled it I *thought* this might be the premise, but your story tells it so clearly.

Blessings all! rose

This sounds very interesting, however I noticed they use fluoride in some of their tooth care products, stating that......

"A safe and effective concentration of a neutral sodium fluoride" is contained.

Is there really such a thing?

Re: Alternative health
Turmeric is great stuff. Helps me with my cough/congestion.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa [Latin]), also known as curcuma, produces a root that is used to produce the vibrant yellow spice used as a culinary spice so often used in curry dishes. Turmeric is native to India and parts of Asia, and is a relative of cardamom and ginger. Today's herbalists and naturopaths consider turmeric to be one of nature's most potent anti-inflammatories and antioxidants. Turmeric may help treat a variety of conditions related to inflammation and antioxidant damage, including cataracts, arthritis, cancer, and heart disease. It is also used to treatment of scabies and digestive disorders, promote wound healing, and strengthen the immune system.

Western medicine only recently began to study turmeric. However, this spice has long been used in Indian ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine to treat infection, gallbladder problems, dysentery, arthritis, and liver disorders. Several studies performed by Indian scientists have supported many of tumeric's traditional use to fight inflammation, indigestion, and liver and heart disease.

Turmeric contains curcumin and curcuminoids, which are powerful anti-inflammatory phytochemicals that act as natural cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors in the body, and inhibit the production of the prostaglandins that cause inflammation and swelling. Indian researchers found that tumeric relieved joint pain and swelling in people with arthritis as well as prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) without side effects such as abdominal bleeding or stomach upset.

Turmeric is a natural antioxidant, and thus protects the body from oxidative damage. Laboratory studies have found that tumeric inhibits the development of cataracts, breast cancer, colon cancer, and lymphoma. In one study, smokers that took just 1 teaspoon of tumeric a day for 30 days had lower levels of cancer-causing mutagens. In another study, just 500 milligrams of curcumin each day significantly reduced participants' cholesterol levels in as little as 10 days. Some studies indicate that turmeric's ability to lower cholesterol may provide the same heart-protective benefits as its close relative ginger, including blood clot prevention and reduced blood pressure.

Turmeric helps detoxify the body, and protects the liver from the damaging effects of alcohol, toxic chemicals, and even some pharmaceutical drugs. Turmeric stimulates the production of bile, which is needed to digest fat. Turmeric also guards the stomach by killing salmonella bacteria and protozoa that can cause diarrhea.

Turmeric is available in the familiar powder form used in cooking, as well as commercial capsules and tinctures. The usual dosage is 445 milligrams in capsules or 1 teaspoon of extract three times a day, or 1 teaspoon of tumeric powder in warm milk as a digestive aid. Curcumin supplements are also available, and are more effective for treatment of arthritis.

No toxic side effects have been linked to the use of turmeric, but consuming large amounts of it may cause stomach upset. People taking blood thinners should not use this herb medicinally, as it may increase the action of these medications.
