Anyone with half a Brian knows there was a popular uprising in Iran a number of years ago.

They were practically begging the U.S. to help quash the totalitarian government.

Here's a really good hint to determine the plausibility (or actuality) of this claim. Check your foreign (middle eastern) neighbors, co-workers, convenience store workers/owners you see on a regular basis. Have they left, or are they suddenly leaving? Yes? Then something's up.

Our Arab neighbor packed up his Jordanian wife and 3 U.S.-born anchor children and sent them away about a month ago. We think back to Jordan. And in the last 2 weeks, we've had 2 middle-eastern (I believe from Iran) employees quit at the semi-conductor company I work for. One gave a week's notice, one just didn't show up one day, sent an email that he quit, and that was that. And finally, the convenience store we run to late at night for ice cream or a Coke has these 3 ME guys who are always there. We haven't seen them in about a month or so. They've been there for at least the 9 years my wife and I have gone to that store.

The consequences will very minor and acceptable losses to NATO/Israel while Iran's military/infrastructure will be completely destroyed.

The Iranian military has been preparing to fight while the Sepah is quietly behind the scenes making preparations for the eventual attack and the government's official surrender. This is all designed to render the military an inconsequential target to be destroyed when necessary.

Your government has, quite frankly, not done a very good job of re-educating the military. If it had, this would not be on the table. This is what has made an attack inevitable.

An offshoot of the Iran-Contra affair is that a deal was struck to place a professional but controlled military in place. This was designed to counter forces in the area when needed. It's primary purpose is not to win wars, but rather to act as a buffer "bleeding" whatever enemy we see fit.

Since the Iranian people have proven to be unstable in this regard, the inevitable outcome will be war.

Of course there will be losses, but in the end it is the Iranian military and its people that will suffer the most.

I am sorry, but there is no other solution.
