Re: ))) Random SETH Ruminations (((
cool...seth quotes thread. Here's one:

Objects are symbols.
You usually think of them simply as realities. You think of
thoughts, images and dreams sometimes as being symbolic of other
things, but the truth is that physical objects are themselves
symbols.
They are the exterior symbols that stand for inner experience.

The whole nature and structure of physical life as you know it, is a
symbolic statement.
So the body is a symbol for what you are, or what you think you are.

Any physical ailment is symbolic of an inner reality or statement.
Your entire life is a statement in physical terms, written upon time
as you understand it.
You must learn of course, what the various symbols mean in your
life, and how to translate their meaning.

To do so you must first of all remind yourself frequently that the
physical condition is symbolic, - NOT A PERMANENT CONDITION. Then
you must look widont_use_thisf for the inner actuality represented by
the symbol.

This process can be followed regardless of the nature of the
problem, or your challenge.
The inner situation is a fluid one, for you are always in a state of
becoming. Left alone, you will automatically translate the freely
moving, spontaneous inner events into physical reality, therefore
altering your environment and changing the symbols.

If however you imagine that the environment or physical condition is
the reality, then you can feel trapped by it, and you spend your
efforts fighting a paper dragon.

The environment is always altered from the inside.
There is constant feedback between the interior and exterior
conditions, but the mobility, the necessity and the method of
changing the physical environment will always come from within.

The interior drama then is the important one.

I take "winter of the spirit" to mean old age. I have been feeling rather old lately myself! This could be along the lines of embracing and relishing every aspect and stage of our intersection with this reality. Fulfillment.

I just received the EARLY SESSIONS, some nine inches thick altogether, 3000+ pages. This is a real treat. I really got into SETH SPEAKS and NATURE OF PERSONAL REALITY a few years ago, and read all the other books too [though the later books tended to be bogged down by the personal involvement of the authors]. I'd wished there were more like the first ones. And here they are [all of the sessions from the beginning until the dictation for SETH SPEAKS]!

"Tell us more about Seth. What kind of entity is it? What is the most important information it has given? And just who is Jane Roberts?"

I don't even know who I am, let alone anyone else!

"I read about the first 60 pages or so of "Adventures in Consciousness ~ Aspect Psychology" by Jane Roberts.

Its wasn't too bad. The Seth entity seemed pretty interesting. I just wish there had been a little more direction to the whole book, rather than just personal accounts and stuff. Although Jane seems to be pretty intelligent and very psychic/telepathic."

.... maybe try reading Seth's/Jane's books in the order they were written... and cuz then all that kinda stuff would make more sense to ya... and that's a promise, lol.

RANDOM SETH QUOTE 2006 January 12

"Regardless of what you have been told, there is no merit in self-sacrifice. For one thing it is impossible. The self grows and develops. It cannot be annihilated. Usually, self-sacrifice means throwing the burden of yourself upon someone else and making it their responsibility."

From my readings, that appears to have more to do with her and her propensities than with Seth's affect on her. She retreated from physical reality. Her choice. But I wasn't there, so this is just speculation on my part.

"Interesting...... is this an individual or a compilation of snippets from various writers?"

Seth appears to be singular, cohesive individual, as much or more so than most of us.

You are in physical existence to learn and understand that your energy, translated into feelings, thoughts and emotions cause _ALL_ experience. There are no exceptions. ~ Seth (NOPR-614)

You are given the gift of the gods; you create your reality according to your beliefs; yours is the creative energy that makes your world; there are no limitations to the self except those you believe in. - (Personal Reality, Chap. 22, Session 677)

The true power is in the imagination which dares to speculate upon that which is not yet. The imagination, backed by great expectations, can bring about almost any reality within the range of probabilities. - Seth DEVFV1

Be careful not to let the emotional pendulum swing too far. Things are within our grasp to understand, but don't make it too complcated or too simple. It is neither.

be careful..in every way. i heard that when SETH was done with Jane Roberts she was almost dust..that she was dried out, burnt out by what his spirit ha ddone to her earthly shell. yaya, free will and inmdividual human thoughts.

Well...there's going to be as many interpretations of why this happened to Jane as there are readers of her books. Personally, the gist I got from reading all of her and Seth's books wasn't that she retreated from life. In her personal works she often expounded on her love of life and how living and being in this world filled her with joy.
But she also appeared to be quite rigid in her interpretation of acceptable quality and expression. She was very hard on herself about being utterly accurate. To me, it also appeared that she liked things to be explained unequivocally and in a compartmentalized manner. That perhpas led to the great detail that Seth was able to vocalize through her and to the rather pedantic delivery that Seth had too. (all this IMO of course).

So I find it natural and terrifyingly "right" that she ended up immobilized in her last year. What a profound statement and gift to anyone who reads her books that you do indded create your reality and that changing beliefs isn't about the brain wanting something to change, it's about really believing a new view of your life as a fact. Anything less is just wishes.

"Be careful not to let the emotional pendulum swing too far. Things are within our grasp to understand, but don't make it too complcated or too simple. It is neither. Moderation is the soul of reason."

Which is why I just want to pluck one little quote each day [here on this thread]...like pulling a card.

"Seth spoke so long ago,...but strangely, people are still listening. More closely NOW. Perhaps you could produce a Ramtha generator as well asgardhr,...we might begin to coalesce...so to speak."

Seth emerged in the peak time of the potentiality of such expressions - late Sixties and the Seventies. Twas a ripe era. Still is. I will leave Ramtha out of this one. Keeping it simple.

"Well...there's going to be as many interpretations of why this happened to Jane as there are readers of her books. Personally, the gist I got from reading all of her and Seth's books wasn't that she retreated from life. In her personal works she often expounded on her love of life and how living and being in this world filled her with joy...."

The thing that caught my eye about this was when I was trying to read The God of Jane...it felt like she was going into some kind of rigid retreat. Wouldn't go out much. Stayed in the car when Rob went into the supermarket and such.

But that is really neither here nor there. Each person has their own thing to do. Basically, Seth speaks from a fuller dimensionality than most humans I have heard and does it pretty darn well. And without the usual constraints of semi-religious dogma.

Ya know...I'd forgotten about that. You are right. She did seem to expereience a general malaise, lack of energy and unwillingness to engage the "world". Physically, it was probably due to her thymus (?) gland issue.

But her conditions were amazing reflections of her beliefs...or so it seemed to me. She was a very powerful creator (IMO). Reading her books, I've been very grateful as to how transparent she and Rob were with their life. They let their natural way of living be out there for all to "see" and didn't pose one bit.

It was all very innocently and honestly engaged and translated. I really like that.

(And this is another reason for me to leave the Ramtha business out of this thread...a nefarious quagmire that)
