Yep, we were just talking about how we live with daily noise pollution from cars driving by all day. I always hated it.
I commented that roads have taken over everything, roads up to everyone's doors, roads take precedence over life. Try to walk around, just try it.
Nothing in excess, everything in moderation.

Within the united states,forty percent of all car crashes and car crash fatalities are the direct result of alcohol, the socially acceptable drug thats tearing a path of death and destruction across america,but who cares? who really gives a damn? and as long as the government continues raking in lots of blood soaked drunken cash,we'll continue driving eachother into the grave,while the politicians chauffeurs drive our fallen leaders to the bank...

In Alberta they are twinning the "Highway of Death" that runs between Fort McMurray and Edmonton, as if that will cut down on the fatalities.

They could have built a high speed rail link for cheaper and people would get home two hours sooner, than if they drove the average speed of 130KPH but everyone wants to burn their own gas and go through countless cracked windshields, just so they can drive to the bars after work.

And what is in Fort McMurray that everyone risks their lives to work there?

The so called progress of our ever growing technology is slowly destroying us more and more and the fact that this thread has accumulated only around a hundred views and well under ten replies shows just how badly and sadly we are living in denial about the whole matter and so as our fallen leaders continue proclaiming they are driving us forward,they are actually backing us up into an inescapable corner,forcing us to run their hell bent rat race faster and faster untill we finally run out of gas and collapse, you dont come back from dead mans curve and take a look at a panoramic view of the size of the crowd at the nineteen sixty nine woodstock concert and then double what you see and thats around how many people are being slaughtered upon our roadways every single year and that is really un f***en believable,yet very true and dont forget that around thirty woodstock crowds of people are injured,maimed and crippled, every single year...

I agree, it's a dreadful statistic and one that in the most part could be rectified by people's own actions.
And whilst alcohol is a major factor you can add to that drug-driving which possibly accounts for half as much again.
By drug-driving I don't just mean people under the influence of illegal drugs but those under the influence of legal and prescribed drugs.
Far too many people are under the impression that because these drugs are prescribed legally to them then they can just carry on as normal. However read the labels on a lot of these drugs and it states quite clearly "Do not drive or operate machinery" yet apparently it doesn't apply to everyone....

Things are the way they are,because our fallen leaders,law makers and politicians make them that way and so they must want them that way...thinning out the herds?

Seems more like self-destruction for the most part.

Dont worry. give it a few more years and google cars will be doing the driving for us. people will look back and laugh that we used to have to waste our time driving when we could be gaming in the car on the way to work. or enter the Avatar universe and sim it up on the way to school with our VR headsets. man I cant wait. plus wont need traffic lights as each car can predict the other and account for it. just like minority report.

Just look at how our roads are designed and built,theres very little space seperating the 4 or 5,000 lb cars driving towards eachother at relatively high speeds all the time and all it takes is someone turning their steering wheel an inch and its lights out game over...

Funny thing is if we outlawed cars to deal with this, we'd experience serious increases in the quality of life, health of the environment, our own health.... Lord knows toll booth workers would be healthier. We'd certainly be less oil dependent as a nation if we didn't have personal means of transport and we'd likely see people's focus shift to community rather than global, which would be good.

Thats pretty much what i'm getting at here,things are not the way they are by accident,they did not happen by chance,because this fabricated world of concrete,plastic and steel was intentionally created with nefarious design by those who rule and control us and countless people are smashed aside and torn asunder in the name of our progress, our technology running wild,our masked smiles,our false grandeur...

We will have delivery drones fly and pick up packages for us . Then no need to go anywhere.

We'll have to be waiting a long time for those types of things to reach mainstream availability.Just think about the movie blade runner,for one example,released in 1982 and portraying futuristic technology during the year 2019 in the city los angeles,with forsight of only 37 years and now we are almost living within that year 2019 and we are'nt even close to what that film and the book it was based on thought we might have for certain advancements and anyways,our incessant greed and our relentlessly evil war mentality will ensure humanity it never gets very far without knocking itself back down again and again ...
