How old is your kitten? I hope they can save the cat...a few things people can do to extend the lives of their cats...

1. only use natural kitty litter....the stuff that clumps and has deodorizer gets stuck on their feet and they lick it off. Their tongues have barbs on them so things can't get out, have to be swallowed. The new fangled kitty litter turns into toxic cement in their digestive tracts ...very hard on the kidneys.

2. Try to limit the vaccinations, and never give a lot at once--better to spread them out.

3. Our healthiest cat stays outside most of the time--eats lots of small critters, and some fresh plants.

Pets are wonderful and cats have such interesting relationships with people. I had a cat when I was a kid who would sleep on my bed all day when I was sick to keep me company--

We use organic litter, and with 15 kitties, all fixed, the litter bill is steep.

We vaccinate our own and believe me we limit what we do !

Our kitties have and indoor outdoor habitat so they can be wild or civilized as the whimsy hits!

Hi, I can pass along some information to you that was provided to me after I prayed in earnest about a cat I had many years ago with severe liver problems. This cat had completely given up on eating and the vet had her on steroids with no real hope in site. As I had said, I had prayed earnestly to God for a miracle and had even started to doubt one was forthcoming the day I went to visit her and the vet told me that he had called one of his friends who was also a vet and that there was something we could try. I don't know if this drug(Decholin) has different mgs., I just know that at first he divided the pill in 4 sections and gave her 1 section (1/4 of the pill) every 8 hours. Then, when he saw she was eating, he dropped it down to a fourth of a pill every 12 hours. Eventually after she stabilized we were able to drop it down to 1/4 of a pill per day. She was an older cat, but this did give her quite a bit more time(over 2 years!) and it was quality time. Your vet should have a chart that tells a cat dose from a human medication. My cat weighed 7-8 pounds at this time. I was shocked to learn that this medicine is actually used for constipation(and other things) in humans...but not once did my cat have loose stool after having taken it. I pray that if your vet doesn't know about this medicine for liver problems and does give it your kitty, that God will cause this healing miracle to happen again to your Bibbles. God bless.
