From Isaiah to Daniel Quoting: christian Daniel was not a prophet religion basics 101.... In Judaism you would be correct.. According to Judaism, Daniel is not one of the 55 prophets. His writings include visions of the future, which we believe to be true; however, his mission was not that of a prophet. His visions of the future were never intended to be proclaimed to the people; they were designed to be written down for future generations. Thus, they are Writings, not Prophecies, and are classified accordingly. has to do with communincation with God Daniel didn't 'speak' with God like the Prophets did Daniel is distinctly different Yes I understand that an appreciate the correction... However I am trying to understand what makes Prophet Muhammed a Prophet? Maybe the Islamic World would show the West why there Prophet makes him a Prophet? I am the first one to tell you I know nothing of the Islamic Faith and most people I know do not.... What I do know that the religion of Islam came about 600 years after Christianity and that most Arabs assimilated into Judaism and Christianity prior to Islam.
