I believe that the U.N. gets a % of the 'carbon-tax' that the Aussies pay, just seems like an extension of that.

Seems that all of these 'grand' bodies now need to get into a legal way of extorting money from the plebs under the guise of 'if they comply with advice it'll cost them less'. i.e. Don't smoke; don't pay, Reduce your Carbon foot-print; pay less, etc.

We seem to have entered a pretty scary scenario where un-elected groups will be soon be in a position to dictate their whims onto everyone, just because our elected 'leaders' didn't see the end-game and signed up to it because it was vogue at the time.
