This is Texas. We have big snakes like you wouldn't believe.
I ran one over at Fort Hood one year On East Range road while driving a HUMVEE and I shit you not that mother fucker stretched across the entire fucking road.
I've seen snake skins bigger that freaked me out.....
A 10ft rattler is approaching record size though. That is a big fucking snake.
Most are about 3-4' and very few get over 7'

Affixiated it then chunked it into a pillow case and into the freezer. Skinned it and tanned it few days later. Left the head skin on so it's pretty badass. It's wrapped around the set of blue longhorns above my front door... And yes, Texas.
