Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1342725 And my people were raping and pillaging the greedy Teutons at this time. Yet the world did not end???? Did you read the evidence? Did you see the video on the amount of ice that has vanished? This isn't even up for debate anymore. We are literally at the precipice of disaster. Do you know how much methane is entering our atmosphere right now? That the methane from the Arctic permafrost is 100 times more powerful than carbon dioxide? "Right now it's estimated that there are already 48 million tons of methane entering our atmosphere from eastern Siberian permafrost alone each year." [link to www.examiner.com] |

Remember those holes we had on the ozone layer..well Al Gore fixed them and now look what has happened. We are slowly being chocked out by gas. !! Where is our exhaust system Al |

If so, this could actually save the earth from heating as quickly as it would without that barrier. |

We have basically 8 months of winter as it is. Global warming starting to sound good to me. Also, scientists have differing opinions on this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1286139 "Rapid warming of the Arctic has already led to a disruption in the normal weather of the Northern Hemisphere, leading to widespread crop failures and societal disruptions which now threaten the existence of our civilization. This existential threat demands of us that we cooperate on an immediate emergency-scale response in order to cool the Arctic and save the sea ice. There was a dramatic collapse of the sea ice this summer, and without action this collapse will be complete in one to three years (by 2015). The immediacy of this risk is underlined by the discovery that substantial areas of the continental shelf are already in critical condition as a result of the warming of the Arctic Ocean seabed. Increasingly large quantities of methane are being emitted. Moreover, there is the possibility of methane held as hydrates or under thawing permafrost being suddenly released in very large quantities due to a disturbance such as an earthquake. And methane caused the biggest dinosaur extinction millions of years ago...nobody is getting the drift, are they? So yeah...let's just ignore this and it will go away, right? I know I'm on the right track here at GLP when shills jump on right away. Too hard to imagine real DOOM, isn't it? |

But what is taken will be replaced. When Rome occupied Britain it was so warm they had vineyards as far North as Manchester. Do you understand what that infers? Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

I asked the question, because I've extrapolated that issue, based on what I've seen and heard in the past and would like to know how those two opposing affects, will merge. |

The quantities of methane in the continental shelf are so vast that a release of only one or two percent of this methane could lead to the release of the remaining methane in an unstoppable chain reaction. Global warming would spiral upward beyond the 2 degrees which many scientists consider the safety limit." I'm trying to see where it mentioned 6 months,I think it has to do with measures needing to be taken before the next Arctic thaw time. You guys also understand that the ANTARTIC is Building Up More Mass on the bottom. The Top is Looseing Mass. Ever put just a little bit of water in a bolloon and blow it up. What happens. This could also trigger a POLE SHIFT. The World is completely out of balance. Its going to have to correct this mess and it will. Thats the nature of the beast and we did this. Europe and the UK are going to be in big trouble this winter. Have you been watching that TS storm in the Atlantic also loop around. The jet streams and currents are totally toast. I wonder whats happening with all the Currents. I think we are gone and done. |
