Because mormonism and the LDS church are a cult/secret society as insidious as Islam or the Vatican...

* Mormons won't tell you that they believe your church is wrong, your Christian creeds are abomination to God, and your pastor or Priest is a hireling of Satan.


Because Mormons do not believe those thing.. So they won't tell you that.

I'm not saying this for or against Latter Day Saints, but...Joseph Smith and his brother Hiram were both Freemasons. Lots of LDS ritual is copied from Freemasonry. This is not well known by the average mormon, but it's well known by the higher ups in SLC. Also, many believe that Joseph Smith was murdered by Freemasons for revealing certain secrets that he, as a Freemason, pledged not to do so on punishment of death. Both Joseph and his brother Hiram were shot and killed in the Carthage jail. As Joseph was shot trying to escape out the window, he cried out the Masonic sign of distress: "Oh Lord my God, is there no help for the Widow's Son?!" And he did this while performing the corollary arms gesture.

There are no crosses inside or outside a mormon church or temple. Isn't the cross THE defining sign of Christianity?

I'm not religious, thus I don't have a dog in this "fight", but seems a little odd...doesn't it?

Any non Mormon from Utah will tell you, there is little difference between Mormons and Muslims. That's why I call it mormanistan. No matter what Mormons say, they are NOT Christian. Not even close. That said, I'd probably still vote for Romney if I was forced to vote. For all you people out there with little exposure to motard culture, don't be fooled, Mormons are NOTHING like you think.. unless u think they are coniving polygamists, then you've got them figured right.

I contend that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormonism) is the newest vehicle by which to pass down the knowledge of the ancient mystery schools. Freemasonry was the biggest vehicle for doing so prior, but at the time LDS was beginning, coincidentally Freemasonry was experiencing the most severe attacks in its existence. There was even created an Anti-Masonic political party in America in 1828. When was the Mormon Church established? 1830.

Events don't occur in a vacuum. There's cause and effect.

Currently, there are over 6 million mormons in America.

Currently, there are fewer than 5 million Freemasons in America.

LDS is the new vehicle for the perpetuation of knowledge from the ancient mystery schools, using Christianity as cover.

The reason there are no crosses in Mormonism is because they do not believe in dwelling on Christ's Crucifixion, but they dwell on his life...makes sense to me!

It always seemed to me that the cross was kind of like religious porn...meant to draw out emotions of the body.

Yes, that's what they say. But the quintessential meaning of Christianity...the very HEART of what it means to be Christian as opposed to other religions, is that Jesus suffered and died for our sins. Thus, the cross. To not show the cross is...well, it's not Christian. Again, I'm not Christian. I'm not religious. Not to say I don't believe in a higher power or force, but I don't subscribe to any religion (man-made).

HOWEVER...this goes to what I said in an earlier post about LDS being the legacy of Freemasonry -- LDS as the current vehicle for continuing to pass along the knowledge of the ancient mystery "religions"/schools going back to ancient Egypt and Babylonia, and beyond.

Sumeria, ancient Egypt, Babylonia, ancient Hebrews, Christianity, Gnostics, Merovingians, Knights Templar, Freemasons, now LDS.

The knowledge remains, but the group(s) that passes it down changes through the ages. And each group conceals this hidden mystery school knowledge with various veils of secrecy. It's up to us to possess the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Sadly, as it has been throughout the millennia, it's mainly a fruitless endeavor of casting pearls before swine (even regarding members of these groups). But some do see and hear.

Christianity was the passing down of this knowledge from the ancient mystery schools in the form of a tale of a great initiate (Jesus) who is the anthropomorphic representation of the sun. The sun gives light. Light is knowledge...the knowledge of the ancient mystery schools. Thus, I believe, Mormonism is trying to get away from the crucifixion (a metaphor for the sun "dying" for 3 days during the winter solstice, then rising....just as the 3rd Degree master mason is symbolically "killed" (hit on the head) and falls backward where he's caught by his brothers, and then raised (born again) as an initiate into the ancient mystery school knowledge.

Good point. On the top of every Mormon temple is a statue of the angel Moroni blowing the trumpet. But no cross. Interesting.

And I don't bring these issues up to, in any way, degrade LDS, or any religion. It's my opinion, that all religions (more so than others) contain segments of this knowledge going back millennia from the ancient mystery schools. I believe it has been corrupted (as humans are wont to do for their own selfish interests), but that most of it can still be comprehended.

I think one of the absolute best places to look for answers to these questions is the link between Freemasonry and Mormonism. There, I believe, we will find gold (so to speak).
