LOL the bible makes it clear who the antichrist is... it is the PAPACY! Don't try to put a person or power there that's not correct. The bible isn't open for private interpretation! All one has to do is study prophecy and history and it's 100% obviously clear the antichrist power is the Papacy!

You say the bible is not open for private interpretation, yet you are a protestant. This, my friend, is called hypocrisy.

And besides, it was a church council that determined which books are canon and which are not. The fact that you unwaveringly accept the books of the OT and NT implies you accept the authority of the church!

Which bring me to my next point: here is the fundamental between the protestants and apostolic Christianity (Catholics and Orthodox) - the protestants believe that Christianity is based on the Bible, whereas Christians believe that the Bible is based on Christianity. In the early church, there really was no Bible as we know it today. (If you are like most protestants, you haven't read the writing of the so-called Apostolic Fathers - first generation bishops who wrote about the faith. They describe the church as being centered around the bishops. They talked about the sacraments and ordination and apostolic succession -a far, far cry from the arrogance and stupidity of Martin Luther.)
