When I see elderly people get beaten to death while taking an early morning walk....and the smiling faces of the thugs that did it.......when I see groups of people acting like savages and descending on innocent, helpless people....you see - all notions of compassion go right out the window.

It is the defenseless ones that are preyed upon. And the roots of this violence do not stem from poverty. They do not stem from past enslavement. They stem from hatred.

The desire to hold hands with the perpetrators of this violence and sing Kumbaya doesn't even present itself.

If, in your eyes this makes me unspiritual, unprogressive, shallow or closed-minded.....well - I can't much help that.

So,what is it you are trying to say here?

Decades ago Blacks and Whites still had to:Walk on opposite sides of the road,utilise separate restrooms,eat in different Cafes - The list goes on and on.

America was the very last to stop this type of nonsense but not to the satisfaction of the power holders who had engendered this for so long - They simply switched up their plans to create all the strife we see Today in America(and other Countries).

Well - there are a lot of things I hate....But I'll try to stick to those things which are relevant to the topic:

I hate violence. I hate that often the perpetrators of violence get away with it. In the cases of racial violence, they often get away with it because it goes either unreported or underreported. It gets blamed on the victim(s) or their race. Anyone who protests this behavior or is honest enough to call it what it is, (a hate crime), is ridiculed as a racist, reminded of White Man's Guilt of slave owning, whatever...I hate all the aforementioned facts. I hate how violence is allowed to destroy whole communities. I hate how the violence of a group of people is tolerated and those who refuse to tolerate it are stigmatized.

This has nothing to do with my interpretation of media. This has to do with having to deal with this violence in my life, and my children's life ....Oh - I hate that too.

And - I also hate watching people fall all over themselves to prove how not-racist they are. The violence that is the topic of this thread is of the "racial" type. It has its roots in generational racial hatred.....I hate generational racial hatred, too. Because it is that which makes all the good neighborhoods go to hell.

If I am (foolishly), walking down North Compton, it matters not one whit what my personal beliefs about my fellow man are...I will become a victim of violence regardless of the fact that I believe "we are all one in the universe." And it will be because I am white. Make no mistake about that. It will not be all the "bling" I'm sporting that tempts them because of their poorness. It will be my skin color alone that will draw the savages out.

Now. The same can be said for any race you choose. There are parts of my home state where it would be unwise for a black person to venture alone. At least there used to be. A lot of what you just said holds true in many Countries(as you rightfully stated).

There are areas in Bristol(Home Town)that are predominantly White areas that I simply will not venture into as they are(believe it or not)much,much more dangerous and violent than the area I live in - If I went into one of these area I can be 98% sure that I will get into a fight with some Gold Chain wearing,Shell Suit sporting and thick as Shite Whiteboy/Gang - Infact,it is the impoverished White areas that are the most brutal where I come from..seriously dangerous crews that spend their Days just looking for fights/robberies because they are so impoverished that they just think 'Fuck it all - we have no hope anyway'.
