Another debate like that one from Obama and he'll get his wish. Bush's father did the same exact thing during his debates with Clinton. Romney wants it more at this point. They are also a waste of time. The campaign and explain their agendas is plenty to go by. When one sees a thing to go after their campaign will drag it out in their favor. Then the one they picked and drug from will counter with more explanations in why they promote that directions. It is a drag and waste of time. They have web sites ad's travel visit appearances plenty to access the whole time. We even get to see their wrestling match in their very campaigning the entire way. It is not like we do not have one slamming the other or downgrading them. One defending their view the other opposing it. |

You're right. But I think the job burns everyone out. That's no excuse for the man's piss poor performance last night. 'Progressives' have gotten into the habit of mocking all Republican candidates as dumb. It worked with Bush, because the man was lame. It won't work with Romney, he isn't dumb, and if anyone bothered to check his history and background, they'd realize this. Romney's biggest problem IMO is his non-likability factor. His fake smile doesn't help. The guy just comes across as a cold hearted CEO who'd fire 3/4 of his workers 5 days before Christmas if it suited him. But in reality, Obama is apparently quite cold in private also. |

How often do you get to hear Barack Obama speak for that length of time without his teleprompters telling him what to say? Without 30-60 second attack ads and polished sound bytes, it was refreshing to see both candidates stand on their own before the public and give us a piece of their mind... |

Beeleever User ID: 1526405 United States 10/04/2012 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Obama: Debate prep is ‘a drag’ Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14159363 By Olivier Knox, Yahoo! News | The Ticket – 18 hrs ago President Barack Obama phones volunteers to thank them for their efforts during a visit to at a local Obama campaign …President Barack Obama, holed up at a swank Las Vegas-area resort to get ready for his first debate with Mitt Romney, jokingly told a volunteer on Monday that debate prep can be "a drag." Obama popped in his campaign's field office in Henderson, Nev., to give staff there a pep talk and phone a few volunteers, including Andrea Stinger. Pool reporter Carol Lee of the Wall Street Journal collected his comments. "We had a great prep, and it was a lot of fun," he told Stinger. "It's very nice. Although basically they're keeping me indoors all the time. It's a drag. They're making me do my homework." Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki declined to shed much light on the president's debate prep sessions, in which Democratic Sen. John Kerry has been playing Romney. But she again described how one of Obama's key goals was battling his tendency to be long-winded. The president is trying to "make sure he is sharpening his answers and shortening the time it takes to make them." [link to news.yahoo.com] Yeah - he's thinking, "I already have this rigged so I hate having to put on this show like it means something....." To mask or not to mask - that seems to be the question..... |

To add to the complexity there is no way to 'cram' for the debate, it is an accumulation of acquired general knowledge which would be difficult for a lower IQ. |
