Coal fires burning underground 50 plus years and still going strong, gas geysers spewing water into the air 20 and 30 feet, oxygen containing air being drawn down into depleted oil wells, a void gas chamber in the texas panhandle that is called the abyss by the local people because its depth couldn't be measured and only 50 feet of earth over the top of it. FLORIDA: The 120-foot wide and 30-foot deep sinkhole opened Saturday afternoon in Spring Hill.

"Out of nowhere the earth just went straight up in the air and exploded up in the air," said Margaret Helmick, who lives in the neighborhood.

The question is, are we seeing migration of gas from the GOM?

or

are we seeing sudden warming of underground methane deposits that are now blowing out of the ground? (Nils-Axl-Worner Syndrome = frozen methane hydrates expands 178x in volume when they melt, and at supersonic speed)

or

are these completely unrelated events that just happen to occur in a short time frame?



Time will tell, let's hope it's the latter.

Ontario's Nipigon River bridge fails, severing Trans-Canada Highway

A newly constructed bridge in northern Ontario has heaved apart, indefinitely closing the Trans-Canada highway — the only road connecting Eastern and Western Canada.


The west side of the bridge has pulled away from the abutment connecting it to the river bank's edge, lifting up about 60 centimetres.

As a result, police have shut down Highways 11 and 17 at the bridge, which is located about 100 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ont.
