What's the Main reason you want Cannabis legalised?

I don't even use the shit and I think the laws are outrageous! (Not as bad as they used to be tho--40 years ago in TX you could get a 99 year sentence just for possession)

They want to keep the private prisons filled up since they have a contract for 90% occupancy.

And there is that CCNCEPT OF PROPERTY SEIZURE WHERE THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES GET HALF THE SALE PROCEEDS AND THE STTE OR FEDS GET THE REST.

I use cannabis every day for medical reasons. Its gotten me off of 3 prescriptions that have horrible side effects. Plus, lets not forget its a great way to relax after a hard day of work.

I was talking to my grandmother (78 y/o) over the weekend about this issue and I finally got her to admit that cannabis being illegal is total bullshit. She kept saying well its illegal and its bad. Then i asked her if she had ever tried it and she said yes. After she said that i asked her if it was legal would you have a problem with it. She said no. Because its illegal doesn't mean its right.

Cannabis is not a drug. It doesn't require any processing to use unlike almost every other drug on the planet. You plant a seed and it grows. You harvest and ingest.

It makes about as much sense as making corn illegal.

Alcohol is legal and kills literally millions , pot on the other hand 0 , nuff said.

I think I saw a cop bashing thread, why don't you go over there and do what you do best, sparkles.

I would like to not have to seek permission from a man half my age, who has never had arthritis, to buy something that enables me to walk for miles without distress. I would like to not be considered a criminal for buying or growing it, without asking permission. If I am lucky I may live another 5-10 years. I do not want to waste that time queuing at the clinic, taking the drugs he wants me to, or in custody. I hereby curse every single person who has condemned others for using this plant to a very long, arthritis filled life. Every policeman who has arrested a stoner, may your trigger fingers swell and your joints seize up. This is the argument that so many use, but which has the weakest legs to stand on! If you take a look at countries which have legalized most drugs, you will find that the data supports the fact that incidents of addiction actually FALL when the drugs are fully legal. For many people, the addiction is more due to the fact that THEY ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG, than to the actual drug itself!
