Obviously the child spoke to the police about it. Consensually sexing people don't generally tell it to the police. I'm sure it was with consent, however my guess is that the teacher wanted to end it and the 17 year old didn't. He probably blackmailed her, and then turned her in. That being said, she's no innocent victim. Male or female, it was against the law, and she was in a position of power over the student. She had control over the outcome of his grades, etc. Disgusting, all around. But my money is on this woman being blackmailed into the whole thing by the student, from something that she said or did that was bad enough for him to be able to blackmail her into having sex.
