Re: Congressman on science committee : evolution and big bang theory : lies from pits of hell
God may have created everything in 7 days, but each God Day is not the same as human days. God Days could be a million or a billion human days. Time is a human made construct. Does God abide by the same timeframe as humans? Has God only been around 9000 years too?

bonghit

Picture this...Light galaxies away from planet earth all snuggled in her solar system God created many other planets and he conducted the same experiment. He handed down many bibles to the people he created to observe how they behaved with what he had bestowed upon them. Bang they all ended in destruction .... now that's where we are headed. Wouldn't it be brilliant if you and others took it upon theirselves to do the right thing this time around? For God?

God's favorite angel (Lucifer) turns on him and becomes evil. God creates Adam and Eve. They sin. God destroys the world except for only 8 people, and repents he ever created humans. God destroys the tower of Babel and confounds the builders as a punishment for trying to reach heaven. God expects us to love and worship him, based on writings from people far in the past. The people today have umpteen believes, and almost all claim they're right and all others are wrong.
Failure after failure after failure...from a perfect, loving God?
When are you people who believe in this God ever going to quit hypnotizing yourselves, do some real research besides asking your preacher or reading religious material, and find out who and why the Catholic church (the first Christian church) and the Bible were created? When are you ever going to put two and two together and realize that DNA enforces the theory of evolution? (Seems to me DNA would be the VERY place to disprove evolution...if this "loving, caring" God really existed).
Science has never once stated there is no God. I would never put stock in any scientist who says "I'm going to prove there is no God with my theories" just as I'd never put trust in anyone who says "I'm going to prove God exists through my theories". Science is research in a quest for knowledge of how our physical world works and has no position on the existence of God. It finds what it finds.
One of the first scientific discoveries was that the earth is a sphere. Do you deny that? Then the discovery that the earth revolves around the sun. Do you deny that? Science discovered ways to cure illnesses. Do you deny that? Shall we not treat ourselves if science can cure, because if we do get sick, it's God will and science is "against God"?
Please, people...please...use your common sense. Maybe there is a God, but the bible/religion is definitely not the place to find him...or her...or it.

Uhh do some research jimbo.

DNA IS being used disprove Evolution. Simply put DNA is the "Manual" for life. DNA is the "Program" that allow cells to construct another cell exactly the way the Manual says.

Now that you have DNA production can begin but where did the DNA come from ? It is constructed of various acids and proteins whichEACH individual component needs a precise and controlled environment to come into existance.

You see evolution "THEORY" want to have us all believe that it started in an instant in some primordial soup activated by a lightning bolt in the earths atmosphere bilion and billions of years ago and from there this single strand of DNA formed a Cell and "evolved" from there till we have what we have today, millions of different species etc.

Yeah... This is why I have a hard time allowing superstitious people positions of authority.
It would be one thing if he were disputing the THEORY of evolution on a scientific basis, but he's using his position in the gov't to express his own religious mythology.

If anything, this shows just how much of a farce our government is. How the hell was this guy hired?

And the guy believes that the Earth is 9000 years old...

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20610884

kitty Actually it's about 6,000 years old.

The Earth is 6,000 Years Old.

It's a sad thing that many Christians have an appalling lack of biblical understanding, that at times enables our enemies to run rings around us. To take one example: You often see or read of mockers in the media saying words to the effect that: "The bible is inaccurate because it says that the earth is only 6,000 years old."

But the bible also says...2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

You can easily work out for yourself that if you multiply 360 days (lunar years) x 6,000 x 1,000 that you get a figure of well over 2 billion years. Which also leaves plenty of room for quite a few 1,000 year periods to pass as single days.

No doubt some carping evolutionist will start whingeing that "the bible is still inaccurate because the earth is 6 billion (or whatever) years old. And I've got two good answers to that one.

Firstly: Just because you have blind faith in (a) the inherent accuracy of their scientific instruments. (b) The true scientific integrity of those doing the laboratory work. (c) That they cannot be fooled by false readings and/or assumptions. Pleeeeeeeeze do not expect me to take your shaky assumptions at face value. I know for a fact that false science is being used to bamboozle everyone into believing what they say about 'global warming', so why should I give you the benefit of the doubt.

Secondly: Try and explain this one away. We are told in the story of creation that the earth was formed from the small stuff that was left over after the creation of the universe. Therefore it should be quite reasonable to expect that for instance one group of about 500 million cubic miles of rock that outcrops on the earth's surface is perhaps 6 billion or so years old. Another outcrop of perhaps 200 million cubic miles could be 3 or 4 billion years old. And so on.

To sum up. If the material that was used to make the earth was in existence before the earth was formed, then obviously it is older than the earth.

So if in the future you hear some idiot spouting off about "the bible being inaccurate because it says that the earth is only 6,000 years old," you can correct them.

Well actually the debunkers don't even know their own science. When you talk about the age of the earth please tell me with respect to what reference frame?

You see time runs at different rates throughout the universe. It runs slowly in large gravity wells. In fact someone did a calculation, if you were in a black hole about the density of the universe prior to the big bang, only about 7 24 hour periods would have passed from the creation of the universe to the present.

In other words that week in a gravity well is equivalent to billions of years on earth.

Physics also is a big problem for evolutionists since they can't explain how their system creates such complexity from pure random processes. Evolution is a non physical and non falsifiable theory. It really needs to be classified as a religion. The premise of the religion is that nothing created everything. That's easy to believe right?
With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible

Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA): Evolution, Big Bang ‘Lies Straight From The Pit Of Hell’

Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) tore into scientists as tools of the devil in a speech at the Liberty Baptist Church Sportsman’s Banquet last month.

“All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell,” Broun said. “And it’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior.”

According to Broun, the scientific plot was primarily concerned with hiding the true age of the Earth. Broun serves on the House Science Committee, which came under scrutiny recently after another one of its Republican members, Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO), suggested that victims of “legitimate rape” have unnamed biological defenses against pregnancy.

“You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I’ve found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth,” he said. “I don’t believe that the Earth’s but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says.”

Look man, you need to stop listening to man's interpretation of the Bible then basing your hate for them onto the Bible. One major things almost everyone seems to miss is the fact that the bible starts out telling the story of a RECREATION ON THE EARTH NOT A FUCKING ORIGINAL!!
Somehow everyone misses this point and you get retards claming idiot shit when they don't even get the beginning of the Bible itself.

However this is NOT the Bibles issue this is some moron that doesn't get it or twist the WORD for some type of benifit for himself. You however have the option of not being a fucking sucker and taking that idiots wrong idea's then coming up wtih an argument against it. Man is corupt and always will be, therefor you have to actually read the Bible for yourself and do the research. It is by far the most important book ever written and you should do yourself a favor and try to understand it.

Besides, he's right. Evolution is an antiquated idea that became dogma before the field of genetics existed.

We don't see any kind of genetic mutations that account for darwinian evolution. It's more of a religion now than anything.

There is plenty of scientific dissent now against Evolution that is being actively censored.

Educate yourself... plenty of links in this thread.

pretty good, spoke of the universe much the same
as scientists are puzzling together now.

the great confusionism is lorded over by the three
cults of yhwhism, but the tracks of the beast
can be traced back into antiquity with the rise crossing
over of male mythos as hunters now turned warriors, . .
and the conquest of eurasia and extremities by the
god of thunder and lightning, the lord of
volcanic erruption, . .i.e., worship of phallus/ejaculation
and supremacy by rule of force over the feminine universal
principle of love, naturalism, regeneration, . .of infinite
abundance, . .

the lord of war is loosed upon us and walks with
impunity across this world like this planet is
its own personal play, . .i.e. a gallactic prison for
the criminally insane, . .running the prison and
enforcing the beasts will upon us by force and
confusionism.

there's only one way out of the labyrnth, . .

may soon be heard the sound of feet, everywhere,
dancing in the street.

Re: Congressman on science committee : evolution and big bang theory : lies from pits of hell
Science has done more for man than all of the religions
put together, which is why charletans espousing religion
are always attacking science, because their religion has
never caused anything but wars, inquistions, hatred, etc.
When I had heart trouble I could not walk a hundred feet,
then came the chest pains.
It wasnt the people "praying" for me, it was the team of
trained professionals in the cath lab that saved me.
Amazing how con artists can measure up a potiential victim,
when my moms preacherman came into my room I said thanks
but no thanks, he left quickly.
Hate to see the district that elected this redneck congressman, proof democracy doesn't work.
I walk two miles a day now, BTW

im not saying there is nothing like a god

just that religion is an old attempt to understand wat we humans call god and why things are the way they are

if you cant understand that, you just have an emotional attachment to your beliefs (a.k.a faith)

and thats why i gave up religion, i feel more spiritual and moral now than ever, cause i do good to save humanity, not myself!

that's true sacrifice, thats what your jesus realy did,

History is the story of science and rational thoughts struggle against the religous superstition and oppression. It's only in the last few hundred years that science has been consistently winning that battle. There are still a lot of throwbacks like the congressman and you who haven't accepted rational thought though.

This coming from someone who believes they mutated from slime billions of years ago?

Besides, he's right. Evolution is an antiquated idea that became dogma before the field of genetics existed.

We don't see any kind of genetic mutations that account for darwinian evolution. It's more of a religion now than anything.

There is plenty of scientific dissent now against Evolution that is being actively censored.

Educate yourself... plenty of links in this thread.
