That would be illogical. The EU is under control and very useful.

If radical elements temporary cause a major issue, military protection from NATO and bases will be removed, including the possibility of spare parts. This would then give a green light, given a plausible excuse, for the country in question to be attacked.

This system has worked quite nicely for over half a century.
