Anonymous Coward User ID: 24723935 United States 10/07/2012 01:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK, how close to this can I be and not get blown to bits in the initial explosion? I am more than 100 miles away, east northeast. Quoting: Bluebird It's something here all the damned time. We have disaster fatigue. Just demand info, if I lived within 100 miles I'd be fighting mad. This can be extremely serious , we need info, and they aren't giving it! No, I am farther than that, all the way over to Alabama more like 200 miles. And no one here even knows what I am talking about. As I said, we have disaster fatigue and the attitude is sort of like so what's one more? I have no idea whom to even ask about this locally. News stations? Local congressman? Any suggestions? Over 100 miles from coast and over 150' elevation should be fine |

After all the tornados, people around here are very apathetic when it comes to warnings. Even so, with none of the MSM even mentioning it, kinda makes you wonder. |

No Hon just tired and fed up will return with energy and help tomorrow! “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |

There are lots of people from Alabama on this forum so yes, some know but I don't know anybody who would have access to news about this locally where I live. This seems the best place I can find for any information at all. Maybe we can just keep each other posted here? I guess I will have the usual disaster plan for this--run like hell, lol! It is not that it is being ignored en masse... and not that there is not new information available... it is because there isn't a damn thing we can do about it. I for one, am ordering new car mats for my car tonight so that I can protect the auto carptet this winter... it is really important compared to these other events... NO... but I can do something about it. I posted one the other Day that was ignored - It was a Documentary called 'Fukushima - Never Again' and it showed just how the Japanese elites are treating those being forced to Live in the worst affected regions, they treat them with contempt all the while grinning through the Pedolicicious crooked teeth - It's disgusting and I am going to repost it here so those who still give a rats ass can see it for themselves - 'Fukushima- Never Again' [link to www.youtube.com] Hope you don't mind OP that I posted this here,it does kind of stay within the boundaries of this thread anyway as it shows just how little the Officials actually care for real Human Beings and it is beyond disgusting. One nose full of Hydrogen Sulfide is enough to knock you clean out and possibly cause long term effects to the Central Nervous System of any Living Creature. People should know I am not a Fearmonger - If you are smelling rotten Egg like odors you really need to get out of there, please. Here - 'Hydrogen sulfide is a colorless, toxic and flammable gas. It has a characteristic offensive stench much like that of rotten eggs. It is a highly poisonous gas that can cause death if one part of the gas is present in 1000 parts of air. Hydrogen sulfide is often formed from the bacterial disintegration of organic matter and human and animal wastes in the absence of oxygen. It is found naturally in natural gases, crude petroleum, hot springs, volcanic gases and some well waters'. Anonymous Coward User ID: 9231012 United States 10/07/2012 03:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, if it didn't leak gas into your Florida Aquifer and only drifted downwind, if it didn't disperse fast enough it could be a methane cloud. To get a better idea of what the problem might be for those downwind....... If you read Wikipedia on Limnic Eruption and read under the historic part especially mentioning Lake Nyos in 1986 you can read what usually harmless Carbon Dioxide (CO2) can do in a ground level cloud form to a village. Now replace the usually harmless CO2 with an undetectable methane gas and you could have a huge Methane Limnic Eruption. Lots of people never believed lake could kill, so what we are dealing with when it comes to billion of pounds of methane coming up at once, well.... lots of people, animals and plants will simply be suffocated. Of course that is if it doesn't explode or doesn't dissipate into the atmosphere fast enough. If you have no idea what a "Limnic Eruption is where it concerns huge natural gas be it C02 or methane read here: [link to en.wikipedia.org] Remember, this article covers C02 only, but Methane could be much more dangerous and completely deadly. |
