Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1562614 This is very interesting as I do believe my cfs is due to a virus. One I have had all along but never bothered me until I was really stressed. The fact that many people now that they are older are getting SHINGLES from the fact that they had CHICKENPOX is very interesting. Apparently, once you get the HERPES virus that causes CHICKENPOX it never goes away. It is always in your body. Then when you get older or are just stressed it can manifest in SHINGLES or perhaps other things like CHF. When I was about 30 yo I got so sick suddenly with some type of virus, just like I felt with the most severe times of my CFS. I went to bed for a month and every time I would get out of bed I would have to go back. After 1 month it went away as fast as it came. But afterwards I noticed that when I would get stressed I would get a sore throat and feel like I had the flu. I would back off for a few days and feel better. So I believe I had the CFS virus all along but stress and the hysterectomy really did me in. Quoting: grefey I'm taking a friend of mine to this doctor tomorrow. He did surgery on her stomach three weeks ago. Everyone who goes and sees him have been very pleased with service. I hope the FDA does approve his research because there are many people who are afflicted with CFS/fibromyalgia, migranes, IDS, etc. My friend is getting better but her problems will take a while to get a handle. Hope that helps :)
