I'm in Santa Cruz California, about 20 miles from the San Andreas Fault line. I studied seismology in college, and since then watched with certainty that the "Big One" would eventually happen. And, let me tell you, it's getting VERY close now.

The problem we have in Southern California is not the shaking, it's the lack of ways in and out afterwards. The L.A. basin is like an island, with only 3 highways in and out. Mountains all around and desert on the other side. When the fault moves 20 feet, all of the freeways, rail lines, aqueducts and power lines will all be destroyed. With no food, no water, no way in and no way out, 20 million people will die in the worst natural disaster the modern world has ever seen.

This is a fact ... not some psychic prediction. Google and look it up for yourself.

These recent quakes have been marching up the fault line in a very precursory manner. Let me tell you for certain, the San Andreas does NOT "let-off stream" with little quakes. An increase in seismic activity up and down the the fault really can mean only one thing ... ITS COMING. The only question is WHEN. One week, a month, or at the very most a year. But, THIS ONE EVENT really will be the end of the world as we know it.

Another 3.4 this morning ... again marching north. This is really odd ... I've never seen a progression like this. I'd LOVE to be a fly-on-the-wall at CalTech ... I bet there are some hot discussions going on right now.

If this series continues I'll be in area of the next quake. 48 hours maybe? Hope it's a small one. But, where is this all heading? {shakes head} Could it really be that doomsday scenario of the whole damn fault line breaking loose all the way to Cascadia?? 20 years ago they used to scoff at the notion ... but behind the scenes I know of more than a few have said that the longer the San Andreas holds off, the higher the odds of something crazy like that happening.
