Aspirin sure has gone up!
It is an anti-inflammatory and great pain killer, has been since ancient times. Some folks have to take more than 2 to get relief, but it works.
Like everything, you don't take it constantly! Simple.
I won't take ibuprofen anymore, I need my organs. I think big pharm hit aspirin with all those accusations of danger because it was cheap and available.

Yes. Invention of Aspirin. 1898, a German chemist named Felix Hoffman found a way to make a salicylate drug that didn't upset the stomach :-).
