is it possible we humans have finally passed a deep space probe beyond our solar system and into deep space?

all the data coming back from our deep space probe launched back in the 70's seem to be pointing to yes.
with a wait time of over 17 hours scientist at JPL are getting data back from Voyager 1 showing a decline in charged particles from our sun and a huge increase in galactic cosmic ray from well beyond our solar system, these 2 things together have always been the event to show the deep space probe is crossing into deep space and out beyond our solar system.
wow what an accomplishment this little probe, about the size of a compact car, has made. with about 8 year of life left in it's internal power system, we are in for many more eye opening discoveries to come. they have shut down the probes camera but still have five instruments to study magnetic fields, cosmic rays and charged particles from the sun.

so we have a probe from the 70's, 35 years old on a long mission to the far reaches of humankind, now about 18 billion miles from the sun. let us hope this little probe will keep sending us data long after it 2020 end date.

Nice post Psy, this is an extraordinary event!
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan
