Quoting: Wash If Paul Ryan and Romney both do a very good job in their upcoming debates...Romney will win. What happens after that? Easy there. Romney supporters, myself included... nevermind Romney's team better NOT get too excited just yet. Only 2 short weeks ago, coming out of Bill Clinton's speech in Charlotte, the premature Lybia gaffe and the 47% comment, Romney looked like dead man walking. Tea Party wing who never really warmed up to him even were calling for Romney's strategist and consultant team to resign en masse. Think about it: debates usually don't matter all that much and incumnbent Presidents always seem to look a little too distracted and stiff, including Raegan vs. Mondale, Bush Jr vs. Kerry. So because of one debate, during which Obama didn't even commit a gaffe or utter a controversial view-point, mind you.... Romney was greatly aided by very LOW expectations for him by the liberal media, the battle-ground state Indeptendents and even his own party. Going forward, expectations will go up dramatically, so will the pressure on Romney to sustain the high level, which he has never been able to do in his long political career - including during both the 2008 and 2012 GOP primaries that he almost lost despite very weak fields. So if Romney can get a borderline miraculous swing in one day like that, think about how much he can LOSE if he fails to wow people in another debate and/or if Obama has a great town-hall meeting debate performance (with the help of Martha Radditz, naturally) Hell, I would be more worried about the rookie Paul Ryan collapsing under enormous expectations -- and walking straight into crazy-like-a-fox Granpa Biden TRAP tonight. Debating is what Ryan is supposed to be great at, while Biden is seen as a human gaffe-generator, so if the debate is close, if Biden uses dirty tricks, it will be seen as a Ryan-Romney ticket loss. Beware. And of course, who knows what Soros, Inc will pull off in terms of releasing hidden-video of Romney's past, running clever commericals in key counties with Hollwyood's help; having massive grass-roots get out the vote campaign, possibly even tempering with voting machines and using Black Panther-style intimidation. Moreover, you might even see a deal struck with Iran to publicly pretend like they agree to Obama's terms to stop their nuke program right before the elections. Right there is your October Surprise. In short, hold your horses everybody. This false sense of entitlement and hubris caused Obama to lose 1st debate. But it works both ways: polls can turn on a dime on Romney if he falls into complacency. Remember, sitting presidents |
