Hate to have to say this... but you'll have to make at least ONE police report. If the "public servants" do not address the issue, then call the county sheriff. If THEY refuse to address the issue.... then it's an internal affairs issue... Could cost a lot of officers many weeks of pay and possible termination of employmene. Also contact a local news agency & inform them of the local law enforcements intentional conspiracy in allowing criminal trespassing & unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
If you don't inform the law of the issue, you won't have the law to use as a defense. Unfortunately in the current times you can not defend yourself nor your own property without legal reprocussions. America is NOT a free country. It IS a police state.
"... Shall not be infringed."

Go to Home Depot, get a piece of clear acrylic, for a couple of bucks, cut it to fit in the window, and wedge it in so it looks like you replaced the glass.

She will go find somewhere else that is easier to get into.

lol. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK. This may be hard to believe, but I just looked out at my car and this asshole is there, asking me if she can get into my car to get her crackpipe, she said she thinks she left it in there. I told her the cops were on the way...

Good one!

And leave an explanation one wtf an anthrax spore is so simple a 5 year old could understand it.

Leave a flash light so they can read it in the dark.

Extra batteries.

Hand warmer so they can soften their hands well enough to hold said flashlight and paper

A set of reading glasses.

Of all the shit hole cities, Philla-fuckin-delphia takes the goddamned cake. Not only for situations like the homeless bitch breaking into your car, but also for you. The solution you seek is "bobby trapping" advice?!?!

"Aaay, yo, I'm from fukkin Philly and I gots dis homeless bitch living in my cah, how da fuk do I get rid of this bitch wit uh, ya know, a fukkin booby trap?.... huh?"

Re: Someone keeps sleeping in my car, window was broken a while ago so I can't lock it... how do I curtail without the police
All your points are valid OP. It might make matters worse to call the police.

1. try noise--say something licked in the tunk or under the hood that makes enough icky noise that someone could not sleep in there.

2. find her somewhere else to sleep.

There is nothing that will bring good Karma into your life like helping those who seem unloveable. This woman has probably been abused since she was a child, she is probably very broken and hurting--the drugs are the only way she knows of stopping the pain.

Spiritually it would seem she has come into your life for a reason--this is a test.

If you don't wish to help her, I understand, at least you don't want to harm her, the noise should work--some kind of repetitive alarm or beeping noise, or for halloween something scary, haunting....

Good luck!!hfhf

This was a very thoughtful reply, thank you! I feel horrible about depriving someone of shelter on a cold night like tonight, and am trying to find a moral middleground for myself.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1565351

In that case go to Home Depot and buy one of those tin sheds and put it in the alley and let her sleep there. Put a cot in it. If you wanrted to go the extra mile wire it up with a light and a heater and panel the walls with styrofoam.

And a sleeping bag and a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket for her to piss in.

Hardware store, carpet tack strips.

Tripline a few pepper spray canisters, if you dont mind cleaning it out later.

Shrink wrap your seats. Few layers.

Place $3 cinder blocks on seat cushions first

No where to sit.

Total cost $20

If you can't find $20 I have to wonder how air you are different from that crackhead.

Option #2
Get a window from your local salvage yard.
$25 bucks.

Option #3

Take a No trepass sign and post. $3.50
Then...
Hit that broad with a nice stick upon next arrival. Tell her to get the hell onward. Man up.

Sooo... I live in Philly, not the best area... and there is a homeless person, it could be a man or a woman, I can't tell... def a crackhead, that has been sleeping and smoking crack in my car for the past week. I've kicked her out multiple times this week, but because I am running a business right here I can't make too much of a scene or be too aggressive for fear of eternal retaliation on my business.

I am lucky to have the customers I have... I don't want to lose them because of this.

This homeless person is an african american female(I think) with the "why so serious" batman knife marks on her cheeks, and is always wearing loose-fitting clothing, which makes it hard to assess whether or not she is armed. I threaten her with calling the police and she usually sulks off without saying much. I need to bring this to an end without calling the cops... I've seen too many examples of citizens resorting to the authorities only to end up being shot or tazed. Fuck that, is there anything I can do to avoid involving those assholes?

This was 5 years ago. That window got shattered again within a month. I lived in the same building as my place of business at the time and we had many customers' and employees' windows broken on a regular basis. We moved later that year.

 Quoting: Forty Six & 2

LOL are you serious? I fucking wish that was trolling. You do realize I posted this back in 2012, right? My life was hell back then.. Crackheads and bums were literally pulling their pants down on the sidewalk and taking shits right there in broad daylight. No amount of "talking to them" would have deterred them and the cops really couldn't/wouldn't do anything about it.

I was the primary instructor at a classical drawing and painting atelier and lived in the 4000 sq ft carriage house that we operated out of. Not only were we dealing with the crackheads on a daily basis, but we were heating the place with COAL, illegally mind you. But, it was so cheap and the only affordable way to keep out overhead down with such a large space to heat.

Anyway, it was def not a troll thread.
