The monotheistic faiths are about surrendering your spiritual power to a 'Creator' thought construct, allowing wiggle room for the ego to take root and grow. I hear tenets of Buddhism drip from the lips of my friends and acquiantances as if they were commonly accepted truths. Meditation is held up to be the spiritual practice par excellence.. why, when Christian prayer is my cultural heritage? |
