Not just SE US but California, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, South Italy, & British Columbia are also drilling on the 18th.

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 26, 2012 – Seismologists have known for years that the Indo-Australian plate of Earth's crust is slowly breaking apart, but they saw it in action last April when at least four faults broke in a magnitude-8.7 earthquake that may be the largest of its type ever recorded.

The new study concludes that the magnitude-8.7 quake and an 8.2 quake two hours later were part of the breakup of the Indian and Australian subplates along a yet-unclear boundary beneath the Indian Ocean west of Sumatra and southeast of India – a process that started roughly 50 million years ago and that will continue for millions more.

This is like what will be expected along the famous San Andreas Fault that is expected soon; an earthquake will race down the coastline of California and fragment the state in two. It will leave an ocean or inland sea with devastation to California far exceeding the San Francisco Earthquake in 1906 in its wake. Tsunamis are not created with strike-slip earthquakes because the two sides of the fault line are displaced sideways, rather than subduction earthquakes that shove the ocean floor upwards, a requirement needed to produce a tsunami.

Perfect storm brewing....not a matter of if...it is a matter of when! Why would the US Navy show the public the future map of the usa... for the ones who have enough brains to leave these areas and get to higher ground!

Im in the MD/DC area. Nothing of this has been on local radio or TV! Yikes! I wonder when they will announce it? The local radio that everyone listens to for that is WTOP as they only have news and weather on the 8's. Anyone else down here heard of this prep?

I've seen the Navy's map. I'm bummed. It's got me RIGHT on the line. I'm at roughly 800' elev. in NH. Do I stay? Do I go? I'm no fan of the beach and moved inland to get away from it. Now it seems as if it may chase me inland. It's hard to imagine I could be fishing for mackerel at the bottom of the hill.
