Well, there is a lot of sense in that line of reasoning too. There was a lot of support for Gaddafi that had to be hammered to a pulp.

The native Libyans had it pretty good. Libya had the 22nd highest standard of living in the world, universal suffrage for women (can't have that in the Moslem world), education paid through college, a lot of perks that were paid for by their oil revenues. The PTB looked at all that being wasted on Libyans and drooled .... The French had the concession for the water from the Great Jamaharaya River spoken for before the first Libyan blood was shed.

I can see them being pretty tight jawed about the piracy of their country by Obama and company.
