Extreme Weird Weather - Central California - Heavy Mist - Ominous Dark Clouds - Warm - Humid

So, at 5 am I went outside. The sky was freaky. It was much more dark than usual, at this time normally the sky is starting to lighten a little cause sunrise is only 45 mins to an hour away. But this morning, it was pitch black. There were these very low hanging clouds, like a misty grey color. You could feel the dew falling too. But, it was warm. Like 65 degrees or so probably. Humid as heck. Dew point was 61 and humidity was 91. What's even more strange is there were giant patches of glowing red in different places in the sky. They weren's super bright so I couldn't capture them on camera. But, you could see they were there and it was not the sunrise cause it was too early AND it wasn't a blanket, it was just patches.

I just went back out again for awhile, it's almost 9am here. The sky is still blanketed by this weird cloud/fog/haze/dew covering. It's still very humid. It feels like the Oregon coast or something, only warmer. I've been here 30 years, never seen or felt this before. Truly strange. A neighbor even commented how weird the sky was, as did my wife.

The weather shows a large swatch of something right down the central valley.

"Low clouds, fog and poor visibility conditions will improve around 10am. Rapid clearing; then becoming sunny with temperatures warming rapidly into the low to middle 80s"

and yet, right above this statement it says visibility is 2.5 miles. No it isn't...especially for aircraft.




You can back out the zoom on this and see...this patch of whatever it is, is very dark. Normally fog is white cloud looking stuff. And...you can see it stretches for about 200 miles
