A drug made from a plant known as “thunder god vine,” or lei gong teng, that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine, wiped out pancreatic tumors in mice, researchers said, and may soon be tested in humans.

Mice treated with the compound showed no signs of tumors after 40 days or after discontinuing the treatment, according to researchers at the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center. The research, funded by the university and the National Institutes of Health. was published today in the journal Science Translational Medicine.

Unlike chemo, the side effects while nasty, wont kill you five years down the track (cept the coma, but then 99% of our drugs nowdays have coma in the side effects list so meh)

The best thing people can do right now to prevent cancer is taking HUGE quantities of Turmeric on a daily basis.

I got some of this last week. It tastes like shit made as a tea. But if you add some raw honey, it's tolerable. The first night I drank it, it calmed my jangled nerves and I've been drinking a cup each night. It's bitter, you can't steep it too long, about 3 minutes or it gets even more bitter and do not use boiling water on the tea, it kills the medicinal properties. I've felt balanced since I started drinking it and am back to doing my normal routine. Don't know why I was feeling nervous, but don't feel that way anymore. I guess it is the tea that made the difference.

Yes, CT scans create cancers very rarely, but SJ already had cancer. And there was never any report of him having another.

My GF washes the whole house in bleach, no microbes are acceptable to her and claims she can smell them lol. It's nice, I like living in a really clean environment but worry too much sterility leaves us without immunity...

My dad was murdered by the US government after they kidnapped him to fight the vietnam war. They wouldn't admit it until after he died, so he suffered for 40 years as a result. He was sprayed with agent orange "on accident".

I' been taking Potassium Iodide every day for over two years, and have had no adverse side affects. The only draw back I ever heard of is making your sun tan look like it came from a bottle. I'm not that tan, so that doesn't bother me. I was taking a different potassium supplement, but it upset my stomach. I had a lot of Potassium Iodide around the house, so I switched. I have taken it every day since then. If it had side effects, I think I would have seen them by now. Maybe the people that had problems were taking way too much, or were taking something else. Too much iodine can cause problems. If you stay anywhere near the recommended doses, you wont have any trouble, even if you take it every day. Right after the Fukishima earthquake I doubled up on the dosage, but still had no problems.

Please search and read the detailed iodine threads on this site. KI "antiradiation pills" are very high dose - intended for acute exposures. Iodoral and Lugol's solution are equivalent in bioavailability to the iodine levels ingested by indigenous Japanese(before Fukushima), and these folks have extremely low cancer rates and a long life.
