WARNING! This is the worst-case scenario unfolding at Fukushima. According to Michael Eckstein, a researcher who lives only 50 miles from Fukushima, explosions and fires have occurred at spent fuel pools two and four over the past four days and now radiation levels are spiking enormously. THIS IS THE WORST-CASE SCENARIO BECAUSE OF THE THOUSANDS OF TONS OF PLUTONIUM CONTAINED IN THESE SPENT FUEL POOLS. This is now vapourizing into the atmosphere and being disseminated with the winds. Major cloud and radiation spike estimated to hit west coast of USA in two weeks or less.

One week into the world’s worst nuclear emergency in 25 years, the United States has offered to evacuate American citizens living in Japan. The U.S. embassy in Tokyo urged Americans to stay at least 50 miles from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant — four times the distance recommended by the Japanese government.

Fleeing the country has not been simple for people trying to get out of Japan. Flights have sold out quickly, with lines of prospective passengers snaking out the airport terminal. With no trains and little gasoline, transportation to Tokyo from the north has been nearly impossible.

Michael Eckstein, 59, said that he has phoned the U.S. Embassy at least 5 times in an effort to get help to leave the country but has had no response according the CBN news.

"The mood here is surreal," said Eckstein. "People here are in a state of surreality. They're in disbelief. They're in shock. They are -- not to use the expression lightly — they are in a spiritual meltdown."
