dont know what state you are in, but afaik all states have something similar to qld's workplace health and safety

I had not one but three seriously disturbed individuals that made my life hell at one company, it took one phone call to find out my options and the legality of any ideas I had, within a month all three (2 senior managers above me) had been sacked or ceased their behaviour- I left in the end as I really didnt like the company's so called ethics, but all three had to leave or cease their behaviour- once it has been brought to OH&S attention- they can make the company bosses life hell for them if they ignore the situation- up to and not including removing the entire management team and appointing temporary managers and having daily inspections until the management comes up to scratch!!!

also once OH&S becomes involved- any civil action taken takes a very good chance of being upheld

It's one of the advantages of actually have a functional OHS system- something unheard of in 3rd world countries like the usa

Pick up the yellow pages- there is a section at the front about OHS services, including a free hotline (at least in Qld) that can give you free legal advice on your situation (and is totally free of ID, so you dont have to worry about anything identifying you to your boss)
