Consultants with Shaw E&I and Itasca Group monitoring seismic activity in the Bayou Corne area have advised the Office of Conservation that seismic waves generated by the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Alaska early Saturday morning were detected by the Assumption Parish monitoring equipment at about 3 a.m. local time Saturday, January 5. The Office of Conservation has advised Assumption Parish officials of that detection because, though the Alaska quake was too far away to have any effect on subsurface stability in Louisiana, local officals and residents monitoring the seismic recordings should be informed that the readings for that period do not indicate a change in conditions in or near the Napoleonville Salt Dome...

Anyone breaking out in (a mixture of these 3) red oval sore with yellowish center (like staph), red patch oozing and flaky crust, fluid blisters? In southern Louisiana or up/down wind??? Are all these three common in chicken pox? Can't get appt. until 2 days from now due to spike of respiratory sickness.... Scared to go to ER (2 year old female) first sign (red circle with yellow inside) appeared beneath top of her waist where diaper (hug name brand) touches beneath belly button.

I asked here because of the people who frequent are more aware and visit this thread, thanks for understanding. Not trying to derail.

Dear AC,

Until you take your child to a doctor, only wash blisters/area with a PH balanced soap. The best in my opinion is oatmeal soap, all natural and what I did was suds up the cloth with it dripping gently over the area, allow it to run freely and the rinse in the same manner. Don't touch the blister(s), they hurt like hell. After the rinse, with a colorless - or white soft cloth, gently dab dry. Due to it being in a diaper area, you may need to repeat with each changing.

Has your child had a fever in the past few days? If so, the blister may be part of the process of the sickness. Or, it may the first of many under different circumstances and could possibly be a chemical burn from the inside out (Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Erythema Multiforme) Pray it isn't these!

The methane situation at the sinkhole is just getting worse and worse.
Now methane is bubbling up in people's yards where it is normally dry land. I don't usually say this but people need to get the hell out of the immediate area now!

BREAKING!!

There has been increased seismic activity near the cavern this morning as well as developments of cracks on Oxy 3 pad. At approximately 10:00 this morning, another burp occurred in the sinkhole. The State Police helicopter has arrived to provide aerial viewing. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

You are so right! This goes hand in hand with the new bubbling that is going on. I believe it is about to take a turn for the worse.

I fear this burp could be bad. They weren't this quick to notify the public with past burps.

What does a "burp" mean in this situation?
Is it that a new cavity/saltdome underground has opened up and connected to this giant sinkhole?

The burp means either cavern walls are crumbling and air is coming to the surface, or toxic mix is producing gas within and starting to surface. I've noticed no chemtrails were sprayed and it's Warner today. FEMA has a shake up planned feb 13 (I believe) so just to be on safe side... Have a bug out and a plan.
Everywhere I look, read, or watch on TV: links to louisiana. Highway numbers are misprinted on roads, name changes have been done to may "sights" (if I write my post gets deleted) first time I wrote my (extremely protected) computer was corrupted with a virus. Had to rip out all internal hard wear.
Couldn't imagine why if I was close... Keep an eye out. Stay away from sink area and large functions including areas with heavy road traffic

This just happened about 5 minutes ago. My granddaughter and I were sitting on the sofa watching tv when there was a loud boom. Even my husband, who was in his shop out back heard it this time. I've heard several booms this past week. Just wanted to let someone know since there have been booms reported all over the country in the past few weeks. No planes, no military bases anywhere close. Just wanted to add this to the booms heard around the country.
I'm not saying this has anything to do with the sinkhole, just reporting the boom.
