Torn Meniscus - you will need arthroscopic surgery to repair it, as the meniscus is cartilage without circulation and cannot heal itself.
Been there, experienced that - the pain will drive you to the surgical solution, which will indeed make it all better. Except for healing the small arthro incisions, you will come out of surgery essentially pain-free and ready to run a marathon. Seriously.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22353411 That was my first thought too. However, my torn meniscus swelled all around the knee... not just behind the knee. It took me 6 months to be able to go back to work after the arthroscopic surgery. The most pain I ever felt to be truthful.
