It compared the results of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to an explosion that occurred in Texas City when a ship or two loaded with ammonium nitrate blew up. Seems like they still haven't got the safety thing quite right. I hope this time no one gets killed. |

When is the last time anyone has heard an actual 'shelter in place' alarm for a whole town? Scary! But it seem to be somewhat isolated, but for sure not way out in country. Quoting: deanoZXT You are cruel, there are still thousands of people living near the port. I see that now that looked up the city in wiki. Just looking at the map, it looks like a small place. Didn't realize at first a lot of it is a port. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

I'm at work now, called home and everyone at is safe. They didn't hear any sirens. My Aunt is working the Port tonight. I haven't been able to contact her yet...will keep trying. It's a toxic deathzone if it gets out of hand from what everyone where I live says. |

Concentrated hydrochloric acid forms acidic mists. Both the mist and the solution have a corrosive effect on human tissue, with the potential to damage respiratory organs, eyes, skin, and intestines. Upon mixing hydrochloric acid with common oxidizing chemicals, such as sodium hypochlorite (bleach) or potassium permanganate, the toxic gas chlorine is produced. Like most chemicals, if something goes bad, it can be awful. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |
