Quoting: DSL Connector Used to the only ones that the KPD would shoot were blacks. West Town Mall is not in a low income area. The victim was driving a Mercedes Benz automobile. KPD: Officer shot male outside West Town Mall after 'domestic situation' [link to www.knoxnews.com] The bystander reporting seeing the male beating the female as she tried to run away, DeBusk said. The male then tried to push her inside a parked vehicle, in which there was also a toddler-aged child, DeBusk said. It was only after the physical confrontation with the officer was THE SUSPECT shot.... I assume that the "confrontation" was the officer trying to take the suspect into custody for the felony on the woman, and the attempted felonious getaway in the vehicle that had a toddler in it. According to the article at the link posted here, it wasn't the Cop's "first instinct" I imagine the situation deteriorated and most likely the guy fought the cop, perhaps tried to even take his gun.... I don't know. You know as much as me, or maybe you have some other info that indicates that this cop summarily executed this poor citizen? If you want to bitch and moan about a bad cop... You don't reckon the officer could have used a billy stick, mace, or a taser? Typical. Coward. The police say they don't know if the shooting victim was armed. If he were armed they would have been proclaiming it loudly. "The officer ultimately shot the suspect during the altercation.
