Gettin his pad ready for the long haul? Or negotiating with some other?

He's the commander in cheif and there are military bases close by. He's got to support the troops.

And Nevada is on the line. He's spending tons of time in Nevada, Ohio, and Sandy hit areas lately. If he can wrap up Nevada and Ohio he's got a tie at the very least.

I think thats his strategy worst case tie, best case win.

Romney's best case is looking more like a tie.

Yes, I think they only have 6 electoral votes. So either he is yukking it up in the Penthouse at the Bellagio, or he is not all that sure about winning this election and is desperate to have every last electoral vote he can get.

But one would think he would spend more time in Florida and Ohio....it is just weird.

Not only that, I think he missed his greatest opportunity by going back out on the campaign trail. What he should have done is focused completely on Hurricane Sandy, and made big showy displays of fleets of helicopters loaded with relief supplies taking off from Andrews Air Force base with Air Force One clearly visible on the tarmac in the background. Wash, rinse, repeat, until the meme is fully embedded.

He could have had several "Messages from the White House" each day, where he reported to the American People on all the news channels on the status of how effective his help was, and looking Presidential and Compassionate.

He could have had paid actors falling at his feet thanking him for saving them, and fainting from relief. That shit would have been seen on the weekend tv news by FAR more voters than the paltry 2,000 or 10,000 people at his stump events. Most of those at the campaign events are already planning to vote for him anyway. He does really well when he is *acting* all benevolent, people eat that stuff up. He would have gotten a LOT more positive press coverage, a lot more independent votes, and he might even have actually stolen votes away from Romney.

But I digress...

Obama could have said "...blow a wad of cash at a casino somewhere" rather than singling out Las Vegas. I agree it was a stupid and poorly thought-out comment. Pissing away money is pissing away money. No matter where or how you do it. That's what he meant of course. But his mouth made the mistake of pinning the entire rap on Las Vegas. I know housewives who've gambled and lost 100's of thousands in the various Indian Casinos dotting the CA and AZ landscape these days. You certainly don't need to go to Las Vegas!!

Thanks for the comments. I've been wondering for awhile now because it seems that he has been going there atleast every other week. We here in Oregon never seem to matter. You would think that they would care enough to come to each state atleast once since we're all in the same country. Atleast I thought we were.
