i watched when obama cast his vote. he was there for an eternity, pressing buttons and waiting , then pressing more buttons. after some minutes, the camera/reporter gave up and cut to something else

quite amusing


here we have a good old fashioned pencil, paper, booth and ballot box. takes 5 minutes maximum, if theres a small queue

LOL.....You know, today is gonna be very comical.

CNN is reporting that the storm that was supposed to come tomorrow is now fast approaching and will be here in about 4/5 hours from now. Obama became the first president to cast an early vote in history. Did he know something that the election will be a mess? CNN kept on reiterating that he is with Secret Service today. LOL. What else might be coming to make a further mess of this already messy election? LOL!!!

So in the face of an incoming storm, a vote you have spent 3 days trying to do and unable to is supposedly going to be completed in time just before the storm hits?

Americans are gonna be given a choice to cast a vote or save their lives. Let's wait and see which one they will choose. LOL!!!

My ballot had 12 races to choose from on the first page and two amendments on the second page. I vote by absentee ballot. My state allows one to do that regardless of the reason. I stand in no lines and I take my time to research candidates or amendments.

The only drawbacks are these:

1. Mailing back - if you don't trust USPS, you can deliver it in person at your convenience.

2. Changing your mind - on this one you take your chances. If your choice is found in bed with a minor child or the neighbor's goat on the day before the election - too bad - but chances are that candidate will end up serving time instead of a constiuency anyway and the only choice you had left to vote for will be the winner.

I will no longer stand in line to vote again.
