I wonder about a couple of personal things that may have influenced her decision.. she's spent the last year and a half having to go with no health insurance and a couple of serious illnesses, also she got grants for community college, so it might be a pocketbook decision.

Kansas is amazing! My in-laws are from there, and we love to visit. They're right in the middle of 'no where'. Clean air, can see for miles, super friendly people.

I like to have the choice of having healthcare or not without paying a fine.

I've never bought health insurance and never will. The IRS isn't going to engage in collecting any "penalties" for not having insurance, so good luck with that.

Frankly I think it's time to take a middle of the road approach to this problem.. firstly.. avoiding as many unwanted pregnancies as possible.. partly by discouraging teen sex.. and partly by making effective birth control readily available. And I don't want to hear objections about the cost.. an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It's much cheaper to provide birth control pills than to pay for welfare births and ongoing welfare costs.

Secondly.. late term abortions are abhorrent. It's totally irresponsible to postpone a decision beyond the first trimester.

But no, it goes back and forth volleying between the "all or nothing" approach.

As far as small businesses, yeah! Cut everybody's hours to part-time and just hire more part-timers, or fire enough people to get your employee numbers below the threshold of having to buy anything.

You must always have someone do your taxes for you...if you make even under 1K per year, it's taxed. So 47% are welfare moms? I doubt that stat!

The withholding system sure does confuse a lot of folks...apparently even a number of business owners I've known....

A woman has the right to choose what she wants to do and I respect that. I don't want to pay for her decision with tax dollars. Second you say late term is irresponsible? Well your potus disagrees, he has voted in favor of infanticide 4 times.

Ummm.. abortion was not the ONLY issue in this election.

Sadly, we have a two party system, and that's just the way it is. I don't have to "buy in" to every item on the left agenda, nor do you have to "buy in" to every item on the right agenda.

Ideally we would have the ability to vote for issues, NOT personalities. But it's easier to simply present two options to the populace.

We have to weigh the pros and cons of each issue, then decide which side carries the greatest weight based on relative values. That's built in to the system.
