Obamacare and *Nullification* -- They sound swell together!!!!

The story you won't hear on the MASS MEDIA - but I will gladly tell you all about.

Maine State Representative Aaron Libby (R-North Waterboro, above, left) “will sponsor a bill in the 2013 legislative session declaring the [ObamaCare] unconstitutional and void in the Pine Tree State. If passed, the bill would set the stage for blocking implementation of the mandatory federal health care system in Maine...."

Notably, Libby also sponsored a resolution calling on the president and Congress to clarify provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) infringing on the constitutional requirement of due process.

Maine citizen and Tenth Amendment state chapter coordinator, Chris Dixon is quoted on in the Tenth Amendment Center story explaining the philosophy behind Libby’s laudable legislative effort:

“Obamacare is an unconstitutional encroachment on the rights of the people of the states. While healthcare legislation may be well-intentioned, the feds are hardly effective managers of services. This is why the framers of the Constitution did not enumerate this kind of power to them. Maine understands this and is not afraid to stand up for what is right. We did it leading opposition to Bush’s REAL ID Act....”

Maine will join states such as NEW JERSEY (fuck, finally we do something good) and Oklahoma in setting forth legislation to nullify Obamacare -- Some states already have! States such as - Montana, Alabama, Wyoming, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, and Virginia. Some states such as Florida and Texas have governors that have been very outspoken against it.

So -- how much air time were these stories given? Who knows what the 10th amendment is and how its being used in the fight against Obamacare?!

"George Mason University professor Walter E. Williams outlined the case that states can nullify Obamacare, citing Thomas Jefferson’s 1789 Kentucky Resolution, which was a claim that the U. S. Constitution is a compact among the several states, and any power not delegated to the U.S. government is void.

“I think the American citizens ought to press their state governors and legislatures just to nullify the law — just to plain nullify it and say, ‘The citizens of such-and-such-a state don’t have to obey Obamacare because it’s unconstitutional, regardless of what the Supreme Court says,’” Williams said.

Williams cited Marbury v. Madison, which said “all laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void” to further the case for nullification from the states".

So, your saying, okay -- this all seems legit and kosher. Does anyone remember the last time states started going against what the federal govt mandated and voting to nullify? Ill give you a hint - Gettysburg.

So, as your being distracted by a story involving a certain General and some lady friend (its not anyones business!! but since it is shocking and will sell ads, well, there you go) -- this is happening. Nov 16th will be a under the radar big day. Just wanted to take the time to shine a little light on something many of you may not know is going on.
