Okay...if you had to choose between $14,000 cash today, or a 1 in 2 chance for $2,000,000.00 in 4 years, which do you choose?

Anyone who goes for the 14k is jobless. There's no point whatsoever in ignoring a 50% chance to earn 2 million if you earn at least 30-40k annually. 14k is not a sum you will miss as long as you have a stable source of income.

i think the op is "formulating" a system to win the lottery.
that is why his 2mil odds are 50%, because no matter how complex the formula the result from any up/down one/choice is always 50%

Correct...But I wish the chances were as good.

there is no way to get better odds on the lotto.

but I have investigated real numbers on scratch tickets.
here in WA, the state post the numbers of won prizes and the number of ticket still in circulation, many out there better the odds by playing the right game(usually the higher priced scratch)at the right with the right amount of un-won prizes and in the right area of the state. do they travel around the state buying up wads of certain tickets? yes they do. these is not known to many and the scratch winners never make the tv news so it is all good

my advice is to take some money and get into buying/selling or low cost flipping, but i don't mean houses. compounding even a 20% gain monthly, or even quicker, can pay off big if you dont mind actually working at it
