But it is really stupid to make F'Shima responsible for every tiny or even bigger Problem, it is, in a way, "The perfect Alibi", don't be such a Fool to eat this! This Raccoon is not from the last Breeding Season (2012) and also not from 2011! It is to early for genetic Defects, they will start to show up in 5-10 Years but not that early! G.Y.!B.E. |

Waterbug User ID: 1295673 United States 11/11/2012 03:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'll ask again because maybe someone knows...how can this animal be considered albino because it looks like it does have pigmentation? Quoting: Laura Bow There can be degrees of albinism. A true albino has no pigmentation. There are often seen piebald deer. Polar bears are white but not albino. Their skin is black.. [link to www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] [snip] Albinism occurs when one of several genetic defects makes the body unable to produce or distribute melanin, a natural substance that gives color to your hair, skin, and iris of the eye. The defects may be passed down through families. There are two main types of albinism: Type 1 albinism is caused by defects that affect production of the pigment, melanin. Type 2 albinism is due to a defect in the "P" gene. People with this type have slight coloring at birth. The most severe form of albinism is called oculocutaneous albinism. People with this type of albinism have white or pink hair, skin, and iris color, as well as vision problems. Another type of albism, called ocular albinism type 1 (OA1), affects only the eyes. The person's skin and eye colors are usually in the normal range. However, an eye exam will show that there is no coloring in the back of the eye (retina). Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome (HPS) is a form of albinism caused by a single gene. It can occur with a bleeding disorder, as well as with lung and bowel diseases. Other complex diseases may lead to loss of coloring in only a certain area (localized albinism). These conditions include: Chediak-Higashi syndrome (lack of coloring all over the skin, but not complete) Tuberous sclerosis (small areas without skin coloring ) Waardenburg syndrome (often a lock of hair that grows on the forehead, or no coloring in one or both irises) |

From what I have read, I would have to guess this creature isn't actually an albino but perhaps some sort of color variation/mutation. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 21931562 United States 11/11/2012 04:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Albino raccoon dog was found in the trap for wild boar in Katsurao village Fukushima. Quoting: Mordier L'eft Entire Katsurao village is in the evacuation zone. It’s 50cm long, covered with white fur. Mr. Yoshida, a member of hunter’s association found it. He comments he has been a hunting member for 50 years but he hasn’t ever seen a white raccoon dog before. [link to fukushima-diary.com] I'm positive the Japanese already have a recipe for that. I hope they don't eat it alive like all the other shit they stuff in their jap yaps. |
