I think there are 10-12 buck shots in each shell. what if the intruder is wearing body armor? Go put on some body armor and let someone shoot you with 72 pieces of buckshot in a 30 inch pattern and see if the body armor helps you. hehehe Most swat members who get shot with buck....die. |

Quoting: Sledster You can use regular slugs, but IMHO it is hard on the bore. On the plus side the Sabot Slugs seem to fly better and the accuracy is really good out to 150 yards. mmm accuracy with a sabot on a smooth bore is greatly diminished they are made for rifled barrels hmm, makes sense now that I think about it... Personally, I have had no issues with accuracy using the sabot slugs in my mossburgs. I must admit, they are both short-barreled, 18 1/2" long and I havent tried it on my 26" shotty. I'm tired of waiting, somebody push the damn button already! Keep your 72 virgins, give me one old biker chick. |

The original poster of this post as well as one or two others that have commented really needs to put the shotgun down, quit getting it and looking at it, playin with it, showing it to your buddies. That shotgun is a deadly weapon & you know absolutely nothing about it. I live in Indiana and a girl i was good friends with had someone brake into her house to rob her. They ended up shooting her in the face with a deer slug. Over a couple hundred bucks of electronics. She had a closed casket funeral. However people accidently shoot themselves all the time. They think its unloaded or trip with it and accidently shoot their buddy cause they didnt know their own weapon and thought the safety was on when it actually wasnt. Im not tryin to be disrespectful by no means. However you sound like a fairly young man that justs wants to bag a deer. And thats all good and fine. Hunting can be fun and its something to do with your buddies. But it has to be done safely and properly learning how to use your weapon. It wouldnt be no fun to shoot a nice ten pointer then accedently shoot your buddy or yourself on the way out of the woods. So like i said no disrespect, just make sure you know what your doing. Be safe! |
