Knowing the potential impact of this administration's policies (which is very evident in all things today - regardless of how you try to paint it), and still voting to keep them in office is nothing short of insanity. As an employer, I would consider that person's ability to think critically seriously impaired, and question the liability they might pose to my organization as a result. So, when it came time for me to "cut the fat" in order to survive the onslaught of laws and regulations that are now sure to come - the "liabilities" that helped ensure this pain will be the first to go.

While firing someone because of political affiliation is clearly not very ethical, if it's not illegal there's not much to be done about it. If it starts happening on a large scale (and say Democrat bosses start firing Republicans in retaliation as well) I can see someone taking it to court.

As a side note, if someone tried this in the UK the labour unions would shit the bed lol.
