OP - there's no law you have to participate!
Skip the family and volunteer at a shelter or better yet old folks home... Spend the day visiting with people who have no one. Might give you some perspective.
If you're not part of the solution, you are the problem... Maybe holidays aren't any fun cuz you're there throwing a blanket soaked with your whiny slobber on everything...
Not trying to be mean just saying... And btw sounds like you are clinically depressed. Do herbs or see a doctor, but do something... Life really is better than that...
