all banks are business - all of them, period!
You deposit money into them under the guise it's safe.
They give you a paltry 1% if even, return for your money sitting while they take your money and loan it upwards of 5-6% return for themselves.

If everybody just became their own bank they would cease to exist. Buy a bolt down large safe and withdraw your money from the bank. Put it into your own safe and then it is there for you to invest as you see fit with 100% of profit going to you instead of banks.

In the event of any financial crisis, bank holiday or natural disaster in your area - you will learn how you have zero control over your own money when deposited in banks. That goes for credit unions too.

How many people do you really know that are liquid. Always have cash on hand? You know the ones that you ask to borrow cash when you get in a crunch? Well, they are the ones that get it. Everyone else is just waiting to get spanked by their mommy and daddy banks when they close their doors and cut you off from your hard earned money - just remember you willing gave it to them and willingly accepted their less then 1% return while willingly accepting their 5-6% return using your money.

How stupid is that?
